Farhan out of his comfort zone

Farhan Akhtar is all set to extend his options as an actor. The director cum actor has decided to move out and take up film offers outside his own production house.

Farhan who has already made some cult films and a successful acting debut in Rock On!, is taking a 20 day long break to meet and read scripts from different banners.

A source close to the actor said, "Farhan for the first time in his career will be reading scripts outside his own production house. The multi talented actor is not only known for his good looks, but also for his directorial, acting and singing skills.

The success of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has brought a lot of filmmakers knocking at his door. They easily see him portraying various roles and avatars. After mulling over it, Farhan has chosen to finally read scripts out of his own production house Excel Entertainment.

Farhan has always been in demand as a star, but after the success of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the pressure on him to act in other people's films increased. He is friends with most of them, so it becomes awkward to keep saying no. He will keep aside a good 20 days to read all the scripts."

"He was supposed to start editing Don 2. He will do that after 20 days. Now, he is concentrating on meeting people for detailed narration of scripts," the source further added.

Farhan Akhtar confirmed, "Yes I will be reading scripts in the coming days. Hopefully something interesting will come my way."
