I was wondering a couple of times, but since yesterday i watched a lot of old episodes and I have a question:

What do you guys think about there is as i realised, very rare use of english words in this show! This is unusual for the whole indian subcontinent! For example :

Roopesh presented the car in "Tilak", in the night Gau is sleeping in the care, Murli going to tell her about the alarm, and then explained" BHOPU".

Bansi said night be4 honeymoon # 1 :Jaldi so jao, subha HAWAIADDE jaldi jaana hai!

Veena sitting on Bharlis bed, saying I am checking how "aaramdayak" it is.

I swear, never heard this word before used by anybody, sure I can imagine what it means , but even illetrate people use english words that much, cause these are integrated in our languages.

And for those wondering why I opened this thread , weekends, means 3 days without BAVD made me mad, so , let me know what u think !

Addicted, suffering from withdrawal symptoms huh?? 🤣
And in answer to youur question, yes I noticed it too. Very rarely is English used. But I kind of like it. It's a sort of reflection on the type of family this.
Still laughing at that comment from you. You're so bored without BAVD huh? 😛

Yep i noticed it.

I lack of some hindi vocabulary but there is words that you just hear here and there. But i like that they are sticking up with the hindi words.

In BALH they are playing on the two options : they say one sentence in english and repeat it in hindi. I don't really like it.

Also some times ago (honeymoon 2 i think) Murli and Bharti started using Thank You and Sorry i think. I was kinda surprised.

But i fully agree on one point, WE are darn long without bavd :D

Hmm I guess they want to show that they are very poor like and haven't been educated so they use only Hindi language. Otherwise, it may be that the writers want to be unique and promote the language since this is a desi show! Another possibility could be that, the writers may be thinking that if they use the Hinglish mix, viewers will think from where these people know English 😉.

But yeah I miss the Hinglish mix! Its more of the modern generation 😆...! And yeah addicted1 I do agree with what you say, its just the way it is :P Nice topic for timepass, hehehe! Magar ek baat tho hai dialogues poore hindi mein sunna achcha lagta hai 😛.

As bavdfan pointed out Bharti and Murli use English words but in rarity.

Also I would like to bring to notice, that in one recent scene where Murli is changing the baby's diaper and challenged to Bharti to do it after he fails. He mentions that this diaper changing job is not for him and now he has to go to do his type work in the "Factory", he clearly mentioned it.

@bavdfan
I love the way Murli says "Thank-you"! One at the hotel during Honeymoon 2 to the waiter and the other one when Gaushala comes dressed like a Christmas tree on his birthday and wishes him. I like the style in which he says it 😳.
