Seriously hats off...
Recently i saw some shows who can do ANYTHING for the TRPs...😲
Even they change their original story to bring in new twists...
Like in a serial the whole marriage sequence was changed just for the trps🤢 which was so pathetic...
But CVs of Gulaal have never compromised with the main plot. They just follow what they have originally planned irrespective of the trps. That is the root of a strong story telling..😊
Otherwise to boost up the trps they could also show something illogical or unrealistic like Vasant coming back and lots of drama therefore...
But i am so happy that everything is going in a planned way..which is a treat to watch...
Do hell with the TRPs This is one of the best scripted shows i have ever seen..👏👏👏

This is what I don't understand. In other serials men die and come back and all kinds of drama take place. Saathiya is such a boring show, if I watch an episode 10 months later the same story will continue, and yet it gets TRPs. Bidayi was such a boring show towards the end yet it was a top show. And Gulaal, such an amazing cast, actor, and story, has everything including love story, murder, drama, yet nothing.

Agree completely. Maybe this show only appeals to a certain sector?! It was never made for viewers who don't like to think while watching a tv show. What other Indian drama has so many layers to the narrative? None.

This will always remain the most beautifully scripted show I've ever come across.

I agree. The CV's kept to the storyline and didn't bring ridiculous storylines to increase TRP's. It's just a shame that the TRP audience didnt understand or enjoy the uniqueness of the show and the fact that SP is TRP hungry and doesn't care for their audiences. Looking at the top shows TRP audiences are only interested in the same repetitive saas bahu stories with boring storylines. Gulaal is one of the best dramas made recently I am going to miss it so much when it goes off air.

There's always going to be a rift between the thinking audience and that audience which can watch and love the nth fairytale melodrama and fawn over it like its brand new! It consequently always poses the debate between quality and TRPs for any channel or show makers.

Kudos to the team of Gulaal to stand up to the ever mounting and daily pressures of such situations but never compromise on quality, and never fall out of line from the originally planned script. Gossip articles can say what they want - fact has it that Gulaal has never really gone under in terms of TRPs, even if they haven't topped charts - and the fact that they've maintained an average stand in terms of 'numbers' despite the channel's anti-bias for them, and despite never buckling in to the crisis by distorting script, is laudable!

It's a privilege to be associated with a show that's been truly one of a kind in maintaining its class! To the writers and actors, and everyone else responsible for giving us such a genius in the name of entertainment - 👏

Sadly Reemz that is our reality as of late People don't like to be involved in a show that needs to be followed, that makes you think on any small instances happening as it may hold much more importance than originally thought. Nowadays people like to be entertained and be able to watch a show whenever they feels like it without missing out so much *sigh* they don't really want to really invest themselves into it :(
It is not only the case in the desi world, even west TV shows are suffering from the same. Unfortunately like everwhere, it is all a question of money and popularity, the network must of the time basing their decisions on TRP's rather than quality. We can't really blame them as they can't work gratuitously also. ...I think it's the mindset of audiences that needs to improve (no offense to anyone)
