It is interesting that you mentioned about Savitha's granddaughter learning some manners. Usually children at that age reflect the behaviour of the people they live with, in this case her parents and grandparents. Us, as outsiders, can see how this impacts on the child as she knows no better.
Koki shows through her interaction with Savitha that she has a personal vendetta against Savitha so she is always up for a challenge and will go to any length to be the queen of the colony.
