With the promotion on the education track highlighting illiterate married women like Gopi being educated and the importance of balancing home, study, and taking care of their husband and family being the priority, the last few days have shown the adversity Gopi is fighting through.
This is a very real issue in communities and societies around the world.
In Gopi's case she seems to be struggling balancing this.
As she is determined to learn, will she overcome this adversity? What do you think?

u r right. Star plus is promoting the daily struggle of a married uneducated woman who wants to

read without the support of her inlaws. Neither her husband and her MIL intreseted in her studies but she have to fight everyone alone and have to prove that the decisison she took is right .

All i worry is about the competetion. I dont want gopi to lose and a rift btwn koki and gopi

Swasthi, what a great post.👍🏼

Yes this is the reality of most women in the current time.
I myself put my self thru school for my Masters degree, I am almost finished, it took lot of time because I work full time, have two kids and my in-lawa live with me.
But the difference is I have full support of my husband and my family. Yes there have been rough times, I had to loose many hours of sleep in the past, but in the end it has all been worth it.

As for Gopi she has lot of pressure on her right now, and no support from the two most important people in her life, her husband and her MIL, so it will be tough for her, but I think she will do it.
I would be very disappointed in the CVs if they show Gopi failing after promoting education so much.

I hope Gopi does overcome it, she is constantly being overworked, what might happen is that Gopi will just collapse one day and then everyone will realise that they've pushed her too far

Well done to you Shilpa.
True, every ounce of effort and self-found motivation is needed for Gopi to keep her mind on track as she will not find it anywhere else. We have begun to see her talking in her sleep and subconsciously running through the specific elements whether it is cooking or learning.
Having said that there is a lack of support from her MIL, Koki has been on Gopi's side as in giving her the opportunity to study. Not many MIL do consider this. It usually depends on the cultural and customary thinking of the family one marries into.

Someone please tell me when did her husband ever support her in anything?? The guy doesn't deserve her🤢. I hope she ends up falling in love with one of the teacher and walks away from Ahem. This will kill two birds with one stone - she can have free education & a meaningful relationship. I am serious. I would love to see her kick Ahem where it hurts him the most!

Loads of women balance home with either work or studies everyday whether they are part of a family or single parents. Its hard but if you want something you manage to do it all somehow. Sometimes I wonder who the adults are in saathiya and whether they have their priorities right. Koki and Savita end up like little kids in these contests. Koki should be paying more attention in supporting Gopi and Savita needs to teach something the school does not teach her clever granddaughter which is some manners.

Yes indeed it's a really good take made by the CVs, but just that the entire school fiasco of the children making fun of Gopi and all is not really appealing!
