Written Update July 29, 2011 - Completed

Kesar sits at the table to eat and praises the food, Saru says he has come not to eat but to make sure that they are feeding his wife well, Kesar denies it saying that they all are eating the same food so why should he worry about what they will feed his wife. Gulaal comes there, Saru tells her that her husband has come to make sure that the food is fine for his wife, so she should serve him food now. Paan Baa asks Kesar where he was all day, he didn't even come for lunch. Kesar says he ate out so he wasn't hungry. Its so obvious that Kesar didn't eat because Gulaal was fasting. Kesar takes a bite and says they forgot to add salt, the women laugh, Saru tells him that the women eat food without salt that is why their married life is supposed to be good, Saru tells him to leave the food, he says what does she think, only women can eat and not men, if Gulaal can eat so can he, and he eats it while Gulaal giggles.

Raman gets a call telling him that his debts have been resolved, Raman is shocked but then says he instructed Dushyant. Dushyant comes there and confirms that he gave the money. Dushyant tells him that he didn't tell anyone, not even Mota Bha, his only request is that Raman stay away from all this and support him in the family business, the three brothers can work hard and grow the business enough to not have to go elsewhere for money. Raman tells Dushyant that he has saved his life and opened his eyes, he will be a reformed man now, and hugs him. I don't trust Raman one bit. He promises to Dushyant that he will never give him a cause to complain. After Dushyant leaves, Raman smiles and says Dushyant really loves him a lot, he took a big risk by paying off such a large debt without telling anyone.

Saru praises Gulaal saying nobody can tell she has been fasting, she does everything 100%, even fasting for her husband, where is Kesar, why hasn't he organized music. Mota Bha tells him Kesar and Dushyant are arranging for music. Dushyant comes there looking down asking to speak with Mota Bha, Jamna looks worried, Dushyant says he has been trying to talk to him for the last few days but didn't get a chance. Mota Bha tells him that he is happy with the way things turned out, he didn't like the topic of dowry. Dushyant feels guilty and Jamna looks at him appealingly saying no. Mota Bha asks Dushyant what he wanted to say, Dushyant says he wanted to show him the expenses, Mota Bha says he doesn't need to look at expenses with Dushyant taking care of it.

Kesar comes and tells Dushyant about the manager's call, Dushyant changes the topic. Mota Bha tells both to arrange everything and tells him he doesn't need to show Mota Bha expenses. Kesar asks Paan Baa what to get, she tells him to ask Gulaal who has the list. Saru tells Kesar that why is his face so weak, Gulaal is not eating but Kesar looks weak. Paan Baa says obviously for the last few days he has been eating outside food which doesn't have the same taste or nutrition as home cooked food, she insists that Kesar will eat at home today.

Kesar is starting his bike when Gulaal comes there asking why does he need to fast with her, he lies and says he has been eating out everyday, she knows he cannot remain hungry, he eats with them every night because he likes eating something different, Gulaal looks at him without blinking as if challenging him to lie as much as he wants but she knows, and Kesar is such a bad liar. He then gives in seeing her expression and says how can he eat knowing that Gulaal fasted for him, for their marriage, so how could he eat. He then comes closer and tells her softly that for as long as they are married, they are partners in every happiness and sorrow. Gulaal has tears in her eyes like she is touched, but says he doesn't need to do this, he says it is necessary, he doesn't think about the future of their relationship but for now he has to fulfill the promise he made to himself, it doesn't matter if he doesn't stay with her in her happiness, but he promised himself that he would support her in her dark and troublesome times. Gulaal is very touched and has nothing to say, she looks at him with tears, he fake smiles and gets back on his bike with a deep sense of sadness, he looks at her again and tries to smile and leaves. Gulaal looks on completely at a loss for words and feeling things she has no control over, then she realizes that a tear falls from her eye, she takes a drop on her finger and looks at it as if shocked at her feelings, and tries to hang on to the last bit of her old Gulaal - the one that she has become in the last 10 years.

Kesar goes to Kunal's place and is happy to see him, Kunal got an internship in a location close to Talsagra. Kunal tells him that his friends are bribing to get good internships but he doesn't believe in all this, his mother sends him to do something. She tells Kesar not to think of Kunal as a hypocrite, they have not told him about the dowry, Kesar is shocked. She tells him that these things are a part of tradition but Kunal belongs to a different school of thought, and what is in Rs 5 lakhs anyway, initially Kesar's family was against it and Dushyant gave them the money with his own hands, they know that no decision is taken in Kesar's family without everyone's agreement. Kesar looks at her angrily, she tells him not to say anything in front of Kunal. Kesar says he has to leave and had come to invite them to their function, Kunal asks him not to tell Talli he has arrived from the city because he wants to surprise her.

Saru is talking to Mota Bha and Ghigha and tells them that initially her husband used to fast with her but didn't tell anyone so that others wouldn't make fun of him, all of them are laughing. Gulaal overhears and laughs as well. She is waiting for Kesar thinking about his not eating. Saru tells Gulaal that if she waits like this Kesar will leave all the work and come home soon, the voice of the heart speaks louder than words. Everyone is ready to pray, Kesar comes there angrily and tells Dushyant he wants to talk to him, Dushyant says tomorrow, Kesar insists and with everyone else looking at them he agrees and takes Kesar aside. Everyone starts praying but Gulaal keeps looking worried.

Kesar tells Dushyant that he just returned from the factory, Dushyant gave 5 lakhs to Talli's in-laws, where is the remaining 22 lakhs. I don't understand the math - shouldn't it be 30 lakhs, 25 lakhs for Raman and 5 for Talli's in-laws? Dushyant looks at him shocked while Kesar makes full eye-contact with him daring him to lie. LOVE Kesar, he is sooo outspoken. Gulaal is standing behind him and overhears this shocked.

Precap: Saru says now they have to fulfill one last tradition, and all the husbands feed their wives the first bite except Kesar. Saru asks him why is he not following along, Kesar looks accusatory at Gulaal and she looks at him awkwardly as well. I think Gulaal probably asked him not to tell everyone about Dushyant and he is obviously angry, he is constantly forced by her to keep everything to himself, it must be so frustrating.
