| You play a lawyer on Twinkle Beauty Parlour... The show is like a melting pot for women. It's about the amalgamation of five lives. My character, Ragini, is a confident lawyer who can fight with the world but cannot manage to keep things right with her daughter. On the show, I'm wearing long skirts and kurtas. So that means I'm fully clothed for the first time. And this look has less make-up and glamour. Is Twinkle... inspired by Desperate Housewives? Frankly speaking, it's not actually inspired by Housewives, but it is based on that kind of format. And my character, in many ways, resembles the gorgeous Teri Hatcher. It was an amazing experience working with Hrithik. He is a thorough gentleman. Priyanka (Chopra) is really hot and a great person to be with. I play a television executive named Honey, who is always with Priyanka. My character is really fun to watch because she is cute and usually dressed in short skirts, which mean loads of skin show. We heard you were offered a Balaji show recently? I was offered the role of Roshni Chopra in Kasamh Se which is now being played by Rakshanda Khan. You and Rakshanda are close friends... Well, I know Rakshanda since a long time and we get along really well. But after my marriage, I rarely find time to call my friends. I have my shoots, my baby Vianoor and my doggie to look after. But yes, Rakshanda is truly a wonderful, witty and well-spoken person to be with. Pari, your character on Jassi, was not part of the last few episodes. How did you feel? In those days, Pari herself was very busy. I had fractured my leg due to which I was on bed rest for five weeks. Moreover, my character had nothing much to do, so I requested my producer not to call me. I even saved him money as I was being paid per day. Are you and Mihir planning to do a show together? Well, yes. Mihir and I have been cast together in a show. It is a love triangle. I cannot tell you much about it, so you better wait and watch. Your cricket show on Filmy didn't make much of an impression? It was just my screen presence that was required. I don't really know much about cricket. I haven't been groomed like Mandira Bedi who was trained for three months. On the show, it was Gaurav Kapoor doing most of the talking anyway. Do you plan to play any comic characters in the near future? I believe comedy should be witty and not vulgar, dirty or offensive to people. So if I get a role of that kind, I'm game for it. My personal Indian favourite is Office Office. I also love Sex and the City and Will and Grace but Friends is my all-time favourite |
