As the episode unfolds we see Daksh and Naina in an emotional tangle, trying to express themselves. Daksh wants her to know, that he had loved her always, and it was because they were unable to express themselves to each other, they made mistakes, and landed in this mess. First it was Abhi, whom he could not counter, when he offered to marry her, and she was under the misapprehension, that though she had been attracted to Daksh, she thought he loved someone else, and she did not want to take him from her, for her own sefish ends. So, on Daksh's recommendation, she accepted Abhi - but it was to end in disaster. In the turmoil of marriage preparations, to Abhi, the proposal of Sonakshi to Daksh came, and though he was reluctant, he offered to marry, her on Naina's recommendation.

When Daksh presses Naina to tell him, why she can not admit her love for him, and she points out to his engagement ring. Again, she does not want to be the one to come in between him and Sonakshi, so she denies her love for him. She indicates that even if she had feelings of love towards him, it would not be right, and he should go back to Sonakshi, as she is the one waiting for him. The unfortunate thing is Daksh does not offer to remove the ring, and promise to break his engagement with Sonakshi, but follows a dubious path and puts the onus on her, and says that if she wants, him to leave, he will do so.

All of this Ms Sharma notices as they try to extricate themselves from this painful ordeal, where both of them have declared their love for each other, but Naina makes it impossible for Daksh to come close to her, and with her behavior tries to push him away from her. Daksh too has no way to know, how to get out of this dilemma, and accepts defeat, and sadly walks away, and Naina overcome with grief, slumps on the ground, throws away her dancing anklets, and cries bitterly.

It is night, and Naina is in bed sleeping in her night clothes, (a rare sight in Indian TV serials, where women are always sleeping in bed fully dressed, in Banaras silk Sarees and jewelry, and with full make up on), she is dreaming of the things that happened on the previous evening. She is restless,tossing in bed and suddenly she wakes up with a jolt, and finds herself alone. She asks herself, why she is thinking of Daksh so much, and tries to ease herself, but she still feels depressed, and can not understand her moods, and as she recalls, how Daksh offered to walk away from her life, she she recoils and clutches the blanket in pain and anguish.

In the morning the children are at play in the courtyard, and the sweet girl with the doll, is lonely and sitting by herself, clutching her doll, and Naina walks into the courtyard, and notices her, who is a reminder to her of her own lonely childhood. When she asks the girl, if she has seen Daksh Bhayya, she tells Naina that he has left, and when she is asked how he went, she says in his car. Naina is upset, and says, Daksh could not have gone, leaving her alone, and without even telling her. Just then, Ms Sharma, comes with a tray of tea and snacks for the kids, and finds Naina and when she comes to know she is in search of Daksh, the teacher reminds her, that she herself, had asked him to leave her and go. Naina tells her that he could not do that, and the teacher says, why should she think so, when she had nothing to do with him. Naina is stung.

At home Akruti is putting her books in her shelf, and her mother comes in, and finds her very upset, and asks why she is like this. Akruti offers the idea to her mother, that it is because of Naina, and in turn her mother says, all have got over it, and only she is still thinking about it. The mother feels there is something more than that which bothers her, and tells her that when the boys family comes they too will be able to notice this feeling on her face, if she can notice it. She tells her to smile and be happy. The father comes in, angrily asking her what is bothering her now, and he does not want to spoil the chance of getting her married. The mother asks him to leave, and she will bring her down. The father goes down, as the guests have come and are seated. The families of both Patwardan brothers are entertaining the guests, and when the boy's father praises the daughter, about whom they have heard a lot, the senior Patwardan says she is his brother's daughter and introduces him to the boy's father, and tells them that they are a family of doctors. Akruti walks in with a tray of tea, with the help of her mother, and even though she tried to tell her mother that she had something to tell her mother, Shyamal, is too engrossed with the proposal, and never thinks what her child may have wanted to say. In front of the guests, Akruti lays the tea down, and then gets a fainting fit, and slumps on the floor, and the sister of the boy, who happens to be a doctor, has a look at Akruti, and they take her up to the room,

Pre-Cap: And when they come back, the boy's mother tells them, that their daughter is expecting a child. It comes as a shock to all the members of the family, who look with open mouths.
