The women are in the kitchen, Saru tells Gulaal to fast for her husband and a potential child. Gulaal looks guilty, Jamna happily says Sudha will fast as well for a kid. Kesar comes there and hears Saru, he tries to tell her the truth but Gulaal stops him and takes him aside asking him what is he doing, he says what is she doing, to hide one lie they have to lie everyday, why do they have to do this, he cannot see her do this under pressure, Gulaal tells him she is doing her duty, till the deeyarvattu breaks she is his wife, this situation is because of her, she cannot cause anyone pain because of her mistake. Kesar is upset, Saru calls them and tells Kesar to buy a few things for the prayer.
Dushyant comes downstairs talking to the factory manager about the money, Kesar asks to accompany him to the factory, Dushyant loses his cool and says he doesn't have the time and will go by himself. Kesar wonders what has upset Dushyant.
Kunal calls to speak to Talli, Kesar goes to her room and teasingly asks her to talk to Kunal in front of him. Kesar leaves after sometime. Kunal tells Talli he misses her and says some loving words. He asks if she will fast for him and expresses his happiness at having someone to fast for him. Talli cries.
Kesar is shopping when he gets a call from the factory manager, the manager tells him about the money unknowingly, Kesar is surprised.
Talli tells Sudha that she will fast for Kunal, Saru praises her upbringing by Sudha. Kesar comes there. Saru scolds him for being late, she tells him that Kesar will have to accompany them, she wants to see Kesar and Gulaal pray together. Kesar doesn't like it and tries make an excuse but she scolds him and pulls him by his hand. Jamna says today the prayer will be interesting to see.
Dushyant gives the money to the guy after Raman and makes him sign that Raman paid off his debts. The guy says who will resolve Raman's gambling habit, it is a very difficult habit to break.
Kesar is in his room and flashbacks to the time Gulaal fasted for him and tried to touch his feet, her accusations about his intentions for being nice to her, her admittance of a mistake in misunderstanding him, her extending her hand in friendship. He is frustrated and thinks of all the lies they said to Saru and Gulaal's insistence that they don't tell her anything, and Saru's saying her land is on Kesar and Gulaal's kid's name. Gulaal comes there with a sweet milk dessert for him and says he hasn't eaten anything since morning and scolds him. She sees his expression and tries to avoid conversation by rummaging in the closet. Kesar takes her hand and turns her around, saying that he has the same questions she did a few days back. Why is she doing all this, why does she care so much about this family that she is willing to live in suffocation, why is Saru's happiness dependent on her, why does she always do this.
Gulaal says she has no answers to his questions, this family is everything to her, nothing is more important than this family. Kesar asks what about a few days later when she leaves the family. She says she asked herself the same question several times but there is no answer. Sometimes she unknowingly wishes that something should happen to prevent her from leaving. Kesar is shocked to hear her say that. I love how Gulaal speaks her mind to him, in front of everyone else she hides her mind but in front of him she cannot. Kesar tells her this can happen in only one way, that she falls in love with him. Gulaal turns around totally shocked and looks at him, with tears in her eyes.
Precap: Kunal's mother tells Kesar that they haven't told Kunal that they took money from Kesar's family, Dushyant gave them money with his own hands. Kesar is shocked to hear all this.
