TOI: From reel to real thief

Gaurav S Bajaj, male lead of Sapno Se Bhare Naina was recently shooting an outdoor sequence on the road near a popular suburban mall.

Since the location is always bustling with people, the unit did not want the crowd to know about the shoot as it becomes very difficult to handle it. The scene to be shot was that of a thief stealing the gift Gaurav had bought for his girl. As planned, Gaurav ran behind the thief shouting 'chor chor'. Now the public around actually thought this was a real thief and they started running behind the 'reel' thief. Once the shot was over, Gaurav was quite happy it turned out well but what he did not realise was that the public had actually caught the screen baddie and had started beating him. Gaurav and the director had to intervene and tell them it was just a shoot. Things were sorted as the reel life thief hadn't gotten bruised much.
