GUJARAT IS TRULY VIBRANT Shreya Ghoshal gets candid in a chat with AT Kruti Lakhlani In a golden choli and bright pink lehenga,chirpy Shreya Ghoshal looked picture-perfect as usual when Ahmedabad Times caught up with her during her recent trip to the state.A frequent visitor to Gujarat,Shreya says with a radiant smile that lights up her charcoal eyes,Gujarat is truly vibrant.Be it handicrafts,folk music,art,costumes or food the state offers the best of everything. Shreya who was a reality show discovery herself,is now judging a show.Music reality shows provide a platform to people who have talent and gives them visibility and exposure.It is a win-win situation for participants, she says.A slew of reality shows is airing on GECs now.Her take People like watching reality shows and connect to them.These shows help transform the ordinary to the extra-ordinary. Indian artists collaborating with international artists is quite the inthing right now.Shreya confesses that she is not averse to a collaborative effort with an international artist but is not comfortable singing western numbers yet.Id rather add inputs of Indian classical music and make it an Indo-western thing.In my upcoming film Aarakshan,I have tried to blend Indian tunes with western music to provide something different. Shreya also admits that while shes not comfortable crooning numbers with raunchy and offensive lyrics,a certain section of the audience seems to be enjoying them.Personally it would be difficult to sing such a song. Musics her food for love right now,and Shreya has no time for love.When I get married,it would have to be to someone whos not a musician.However,marriage is not on cards any time soon.
