I've read about the demerits of night shifts.
Night shift jobs do not make much sense unless you are nocturnal or something. You've to compromise a lot with sleep, if you are not. And then you can trust things to go wrong! Lately, I've read articles that aim at doctors and bankers and accuse the system of having them work for over twenty-four hours, let alone just the night. Most articles revive our knowledge about sleep and accuse the system, they say people who work at such expanses without sleep cannot be trusted to get their jobs done right.

Jetty...u r very young...so you should think in terms of what will look good on your resume and will give u an edge over the others...so I would say don't bother about the shifts...go for the company and the kind of experience it will offer you...just my opinion..this is what I would have done...
so you're saying that you would take a night shift job with tata rather than a day job with some lesser company, say, lanco infra ?
now, as I am on the lookout for a job, some of the people who called me were bpo's who asked me if I was willing to do the UK and US shifts, which is in the night. man! I feel I'd probably die if I had to do such a thing. bank jobs seem more attractive to me, and some jobs are there, but if worst comes to worst, would going to a night job make any sense?
Nope, no time to make babies then.
