You can share anything and everything (hence i put spoilers in the title lol)

WARNING...don't read beyond this point if you don't want to know what happens because SPOILERS WILL BE POSTED! SO STOP NOW IF YOU DON'T WANNA KNOW!! but if you do then please by all means go right ahead =)

My Review

Okie sorry for taking forever lol..been so busy but im finally here with my review...it wont be long as all u wonderful people wrote yours but i will let u know of my fav parts and disappointments.

Okie so the entire movie was very well done...except i just felt it was a bit rushed...considering it was part 2...and they had so much time...they should have emphasized more on the emotions and made osme of the scenes a bit longer. One scene i can list is the Ron and Hermione kiss...that was SOOO random...no doubt it was absolutely adorable but it felt out of place.

On the plus side..i absolutely adored the story of Snape...just as they had portrayed the deathly hallows story..this was done so well...by the end of his story i was crying like no tomorrow! it was absolutely beautiful...alan rickman is simply amazing! What an actor!!!!

Ok not gonna like...i thought the ending was a bit funny...in the book it sounded really cute..but watching it on the screen..i had to laugh a little cause of the way everyone looked...i was liek uhhh...lmao!

OVer all though...beautiful end to a beautiful series...and as everyone said...harry potter and hogwarts will always live on forever!!!

hershi

So, I watched the midnight premiere in the US and my expectations were skyrocket high.

And I enjoyed the movie. I loved every bit of it except for the last ten minutes. Literally.

My favorite scene by far was the Snape-Harry one, I had tears sitting in my eyes as I watched that extremely emotional scene, how Harry collected the teardrops to put in the Pensieve and whatnot. OHMYGOD. Snape's love for Lily was so damned sweet. Mind you, I'm a huge Lily James fan and I wouldn't have it any other way, but Snape is amazing. Absolutely wonderful. That scene blew my mind.

LOL another favorite was Harry like rolling out of Hagrid's hands as he "comes back to life" and shocking the living daylights out of everyone. That was amazing!

However.

The Harry-Voldemort Final battle was really disappointing for me. Maybe I built it up too much in my mind or something, but that battle came off as really anticlimactic. Maybe because in the book, there were a ton of people around and it was done in the Great Hall and here it was done outside and whatnot with no one else there. That scene didn't seem extraordinary, like OMG Dark Lord finally defeated! Maybe I expected some more tension and like curses thrown around and stuff, I don't know but yeah. That was just really sucky for me.

And the epilogue.

I'm someone that actually loves epilogues, even if they don't end up the way I want them to [as you might be able to tell from my Dabba]. But. the epilogue in the book I liked, the one in the movie, eh not so much. Why? Because Harry and Ron looked like actually old, well not old but you could tell they did stuff to make them look older. While Ginny and Hermione looked pretty ordinary. And what were Harry and Ron wearing? Like seriously? Draco looked a billion times better, all spiffy in his formal looking clothes and whatnot while Harry and Ron were in street clothes. K, yeah, I know not a big deal, but I wanted the ending to be like just over the top amazing.

But the kids were really cute! The little boy who played Albus. Aww<3 Harry's scene with him was really awesome.

Hm What else? I'm rambling, I realize that but I just feel like talking about the movie 😆.

LOL Hermione as Bellatrix in the beginning, was just wonderfully done. Helena Bonham Carter is fabulous, as an actress. OMG the Molly-Bellatrix scene, I wanted a bit more, but they included my favorite dialogue "Not my daughter, you B****" so I'm fine 🤣

The Harry-Dumbledore scene was pretty chill too. I liked seeing Dumbledore again [rip dude. you were awesome 😆]

Overall though, I think the movie was very very well done, with the special effects, the acting, everything. Snape for some reason just stood out to me in the movie although he wasn't there for a really long time onscreen. I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see much of the other characters, but well, that was expected. Lupin/Tonks</3

But yeah, I hope my rambling made sense :)

Cheers!

I just got home after watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 in IMAX 3D. Sigh! It was awesome! A fitting finale to the movie series. Yeah, for us Book lovers and JKR's awesome writing's fans would always find something here and there that the film missed or didn't quite get it right...but overall, if you look at how far they have come as far as taking JKR's Epic creation and making movies out of it--- this last one totally does justice to it. they gave the series a deserving good end. 👏

***** Spoilers****

o yeah, acting was the best part of the film. They have come such a long way-- the trio. Each one of them gave a good performance. Much improvement.
But the star of the movie was Alan Rickman as Snape👏. Hands down! 👏 He was BRILLIANT! Snape's memory aka The Prince's Tale was my most favorite part in the book as well as in the movie. 👏 It was so heart breaking to read/ see Snape die. He was one of my most favorite characters. 😭 I teared up when he died and also when you see in the memory scene, where he sees lily dead and hugs her and cries ...aaah! i LOVED the "prince's tale" moment so so so much. It was definitely the bestest moment in the whole entire movie!👏
I have always liked Snape-Lily moments in the book and it was so good to see it in the movies finally. Snape's love for Lily is so heartwrenching.😭

Bella's death as well as Voldemort's death didn't have that much impact as in the books. eh. Especially Voldemort's death...it didn't have the impact that it should have had if they had kept it the way JKR described it in the book.

Neville was pretty good in the movie...he finally got to do more😆.
Harry-Ginny parts were so darn meh! i was never a fan of Harry and Ginny in the books...and the in the movies, the less said the better. there's just no chemistry between them. Zilch!

Ron- Hermione-- it was cute. 😆 lol i guess i have always liked Harry-Ron-Hermione relationship as the Trio more than their individual "love" relationships. That sort of goes along with what JKR often says--- the main theme of the series is not just Good vs Evil...its actually the theme of love and friendship and loyalty and the connotations of those.
I liked the scene when Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts and every one of their friends-- Seamus, Cho, Luna, Dean, and others are there smiling and hugging--- a reunion, not only for the characters but also for the audience who is returning to Hogwarts with the Trio. Nicely enacted and shot sequence.

Harry's walk to the forest was good too but not as good as JKR's words in the books ofcourse. But still it was well performed and shot.

I liked the last moment before epilogue too. the part when Harry walks in to Hogwarts after killing voldemort and smiles seeing his friends and professors and colleagues, that was nicely done just how JKR described it in the book.
I also liked the very last moment of the Trio together facing away from Hogwarts, holding hands and moving on and sort of telling the audience that time had come to say goodbye to Hogwarts. 😭

Then, the epilogue---- i didn't like it in the books...but i think they did quite good in the movie. I liked the moment where Harry, Ron and Hermione are standing besides each other waving to their kids in Hogwarts express with tears in their eyes but smiles on their faces. 😊

Ok, so I had butterflies in my stomach this whole week and was expecting a whole lot from the film and I wasn't really that disappointed. I went to the midnight show where I live so it was all the more exciting.

What I Loved:

1) Snape. Oh, boy... He has GOT to be one of my most favorite characters. Alan Rickman is an excellent, excellent actor. One of the chapters in the last book I loved most was "The Prince's Tale" and was looking forward to seeing how they depicted it. I loooved seeing the little Lily and Severus as friends and James and Sirius at their naughty best 😆 Also, what totally murdered me was the scene when Snape goes into the Potter house and cries his heart out hugging Lily's dead body 💔 Oh, God, why oh whyyy :'(

2) Protecting Hogwarts. Damn, those professors are goood ❤️ This was actually the scene that marked the beginning of my tears. Awww the professors put everything into protecting their home. I loved it when Professor McGonagall said "I've always wanted to use that spell!" after bringing the statues to life 😆

The students were no less. They were so pumped and just ready to fight; that was what I wanted to see :) And Neville haha he was all tough and what not when the death eaters were prevented from crossing the bridge into Hogwarts 😆 Aww I love Neville 😳 One of the scenes I was looking forward to most was him killing Nagini. Even though it didn't happen the way it did in the book, I was fine with the scene in the movie.

3) The scene with Fred's, Lupin's, and Tonks's bodies. I wanted to die right then and there *sobs* Those scenes were when I completely lost it and began to just bawl like a baby. It was so hard to control my sobs :/ The whole Weasley family gathered around Fred and Molly just crying into his chest were wonderfully acted out *claps* And, of course, Lupin's and Tonks's hands touching even after death was just 💔

4) The absolute final scene when they close in on Harry, Hermione, and Ron was beautiful. Their eyes and smiles said it all- hope, worry, relief, and happiness at seeing their kids at the same point in life they were at 26 years ago. I felt so overwhelmed with emotion. That was when it really sunk in that HP is finally over </3

5) The little bit of dueling between Harry and Voldemort was a nice change. It was nice to see Harry's dueling capabilities even though we all know he's a master at that 😊

6) Helena Bonham Carter as Hermione xD Hahaha that was so funny! She is an amazing actress :D

7) Adding in the "Not my daughter, you B*TCH!" scene 😆 That was a must!

8) The hug between Harry and Albus ❤️ Awww!

What I Didn't Like So Much:

1) What the hell was Ron wearing in the epilogue scene? -____- Slob: that's the word that entered my mind as soon I saw him. He looked so... unkempt :/ And there was something about Harry that was both OK and not right... idk what exactly.

2) The epic finale. It wasn't as... epic as I thought it would be. I loved how it was in the book: In the midst of the Great Hall and everyone in it, them circling each other, etc. Also, wasn't the Elder Wand supposed to float to Harry without the Killing Curse breaking? 😕 Like, didn't Harry's Expelliarmus AND Voldemort's Avada Kedavra both hit Voldie? Maybe I'm wrong...

3) The scene in the Lestrange's vault. I thought the objects in there were supposed to be flaming hot, but judging by the way no one was really screaming out of pain, it seemed as though they weren't burning anyone 😕

4) Harry's own wand... Where did it go? lol. I really wanted to see him repair his wand with the Elder Wand before destroying the latter...

LOL that was a lot. Sorry if it came out to be too long 😆 I just really needed to talk about it 😛

First of all, I love little Snape and little Albus. They were so cute. 😳
okay. i just saw the movie today. as anticipated, the movie was great. awesome special effects and great acting by everyone.
to be honest, having read the book many times, I have quite high expectations from this movie. But it's like movie can never up to the books. there will always be something missing. The movie seemed kind of rushed like everything happened so fast right from the shell cottage. Overall, they did fantastic job at making the movie. So all forgiven.

My favorite part from the book has always been the Prince's Tale. The one chapter i was looking forward to the most. and I must must say this that it is the best thing in the movie too. They do it just so perfectly. I just love how faithful they stayed to the book especially for that chapter. i am so glad they added the scene of Snape? visiting Lily's house. It's exactly as emotional and as heart wrenching as it should be. :( *sobs*
alan rickman takes the cake in this movie. he is marvelous all throughout. this is going to be my fav. scene from all 8 HP movies
He doesn't have as much of a screen time, but watever he was given. he owned very single second of it. Simply Awesome!

Another scenes I was looking forward to the most was King's Cross and Walk in the forbidden forest. King's Cross scene was nicely done. I liked how he asked about Lily and Snape's patronus being the same.
Forbidden forest scene however was much more emotional in the book. But I guess it must be very tough to come out with such deep emotions as exactly described in the book. But good scene.

the end of voldemort scene...the reason they did not decide to have it in great hall was to make it look more dramatic...bt i feel the book's version was more dramatic. I would have liked to see that convo. from book between harry and voldy. Little bit of disappointment on over all scene.

I would have liked to see Harry at least repair his phoenix feather wand and then break the elder wand. As per movie, it is not clear if Harry decided to use Draco's wand or uses his own wand.

I have always loved the trio and their friendship. So, I loved that little scene of them holding hands and standing on bridge. The peace that you feel after great victory. 👍🏼

Oh ya, the killing of Nagini was quite perfectly done. Neville was awesome. Finally, his deed of bravery. The D.A. scene was good too. I wished Lupin and Tonk has a bit more screen time and a few other characters.

Finally, Epilogue. It was too short 😳 Hermione looked way too young to me. Ginny was okay. Harry and Ron did look in their middle thirties may be a bit older than that. I would have liked a bit of relaxing scene of Rose and Ron about beating scorpius in every test 😆 that was so like Ron. I dunno it just showed how happy the wizarding world especially harry's world was. He actually built a better place for everyone. Voldy end meant the rise on sun in the wizarding world.
But I loved the scene where the trio was looking at their kids and waving them. It was so touching and emotional. After all, they had been through a lot. Now, the scar had not pained and all was well.

Good:
*Snape's memories, the friendship between Lily and Severus was really cute, and I think the movie really depicted Snape's immense sacrifice and love for Lily (Alan Rickman's acting overall was just really good) 👏
* Breaking into Gringotts, Helena Bonham Carter was really good in this scene, this was one of the few that I actually preferred to the book, I thought it showed the danger they were under really well, 😕 I was biting my nails when they were trapped in the vault, and also showed the difficulties of using the Polyjuice Potion
* Really liked the ending scene between Albus/Harry, thought Dan seemed really fatherly and Albus was so cute! 😳
*Liked seeing more of Neville, just loved his character and how he was brave but still provided comedy 😆
*Harry's return to Hogwarts, it really felt like you were returning with him (as someone mentioned above), which is important as I loved Hogwarts, and it was so nice to see all his friends waiting there 😃
* Protecting Hogwarts, loved the spirit and energy they had, and loved Professor McGonagall in here 😊
* Acting by the trio, they showed a great range of emotion and I especially liked Ron and Hermione together, their love story has matured and they had really great chemistry
Not so good::
*Too little of Remus/Tonks! It was so sad when you saw them dead together though 😭 And on the same note, Fred's death really hit me hard, the Weasleys' grief was very moving 😕
* Hermione at the end still seemed 18, her voice and clothes were all the same, and yeah, weird clothes overall for all the adults 😕
* Would have liked to see more of the battle, defeat of the Carrows, some duelling by Ginny/Luna/Order etc and maybe a bit more with Voldermort and Harry, though I understand there wassn't time for everything
* Harry-Ginny relationship seemed a bit bland and not as moving as in the book
But overall, loved it 😃 and I'm sad there won't be any more!
