Mota Bha tells Laljibha that he had a very good time and had forgotten that music was such an inherent part of his life. Laljibha tells him that he should thank his son who came to his village to get him, it is clear that Kesar has a special place in his heart for his father. Dushyant and Kesar go to drop off Laljibha. Mota Bha tells Gulaal that he had a good time, and thanks her for giving him so much happiness, Gulaal tells him elders give blessings to younger people, not thanks, anyway he should thank Kesar because he wanted to do something for Mota Bha and planned all this. He is touched. She tells him that they always want to see him happy, his happiness is extremely important. He tells her that his happiness is related to Gulaal and this house, without her he cannot even imagine this house, after 3 months when the deeyarvattu breaks he doesn't know what will happen to her, she will no longer be this family's daughter-in-law, will she stay or leave. Talli goes to her room and flashbacks to the moments between Kesar and Gulaal. Gulaal calls her to eat and sees her crying, Gulaal tells her that she understands that she is thinking about Kesar and knows what she is going through, she asks Talli if she will ever forgive her, she is responsible for Talli's plight, she could not fulfill her promise and will always remain her culprit, Talli tells her that nobody would do what Gulaal did for her, but Gulaal cannot change Talli's fate. Gulaal tells her that Kesar has feelings for her (Gulaal) but one day he will definitely know how much Talli loves him, her love will not be futile. OMG, what is wrong with this woman. He will realize her love but that is not a reason to love her back - Gulaal herself cannot love Kesar back just by knowing how much he loves her and she expects him to do the same. Talli tells her that she is so worried about Talli that she is giving herself and Talli false hopes, Talli doesn't want to live this false dream because it will never come true. Whatever happened is nobody's fault, maybe this is what fate desired. She tells Gulaal maybe there is a bigger thing in store for Talli, anyway good things happen to good people. She tells Gulaal that Gulaal always thinks of others, what about herself, till when will she live alone, doesn't she feel the need for a companion and someone's love, Gulaal tells her that she doesn't need love she has the whole family (who Jamna and Sudha?) and Talli.
Mota Bha and Kesar are eating, Gulaal comes there and goes to the kitchen, Mota Bha looks at her worried. Kesar tells Mota Bha that he knows what is troubling Mota Bha, they should not think about what will happen after 3 months, instead they should think of ways to make Gulaal's 3 months beautiful, Gulaal has given up an important part of her life to this family and has done so much, they must pay off her debt. Mota Bha looks at Kesar as if he is seeing him for the first time, really seeing him from the inside. Mota Bha has tears and says sometimes listening to Kesar he thinks Kesar has grown up so much, and sometimes...its as if the unspoken words are that Mota Bha recalls Kesar's confession about loving Gulaal and understands some of his pain.
Gulaal is preparing the bed and Kesar is wiping his hair, looks like both are in the same room but how do the sleeping arrangements work, wish they showed that. Both go to open the closet and their fingers touch, Gulaal looks at him and removes her hand awkwardly as if she got a current. She asks Kesar if he wants something, her expression seems like she is trying to hide something, some feeling. He says handkerchief and she gives it to him. He tells her he is going to the factory - I could get used to this husband-wife talk. Reva comes there with food for Gulaal, Gulaal tells her she is not hungry, Reva says that nowadays she is never hungry, nobody is there to take care of her, Sudha makes food of others choices, Gulaal takes care of Reva and Kesar's favorite dishes, nobody takes care of Gulaal's favorites. Kesar hears this and feels bad. Reva continues that she knows a lot has changed in the last few days, but Gulaal is still a member of this house, if she lets things go one day she will be left with nothing, she will need to think of herself, she tells Gulaal not to say that everyone cares about her because she herself has seen that nobody here cares about her. It seems like Reva keeps having side glances at Kesar, not sure why since Kesar alone cares about her, or maybe she wants to give him hints about Gulaal's situation with the women. Kesar steps forward, takes the plate from Reva, and asks Gulaal to eat. She refuses, looks at him, he glares at her with an adamant expression, and she takes the plate. Reva makes her sit, Gulaal has the first bite and looks at Kesar, both have an eye-lock.
Kesar meets Poonam outside the temple, she tells him that she wishes some miracle would happen and... he assures her that he will give Gulaal every happiness during the 3 months, and even after the 3 months whenever she is, he will take full care of her. She wishes Gulaal would understand his love and see the good in him, he asks her not to feel bad, he has no complaints, at least Gulaal is happy seeing him as her friend, and he will never let tears enter her eyes. He drops her off home. She takes him in and feeds him, he takes his leave when he sees a photo of Gulaal's when she was 11 years old, she tells him about her two friends in the photo and tells him that Gulaal has not met them for years now. He says he could not recognize Gulaal. She tells him that nobody recognizes Gulaal now, she has changed so much, people don't believe how naughty and happy she was, and she loved making pony tails for others. Kesar's expression is so funny, like he finds Gulaal hilarious as a kid. She tells him that she used to make ponies for all her friends, in the photo the ponies are made by her, she also had a doll and she used to make her ponytail as well. Kesar laughs saying doll with an expression of disbelief, Poonam goes to bring it for him. Poonam is so happy and excited telling him about young Gulaal, clearly she misses her daughter deeply.
Poonam shows him the doll and says Gulaal kept her name Champa and wouldn't let anyone touch it, she used to take her to school too. Kesar says he cannot believe this is Gulaal, Poonam becomes sad and says he cannot believe but she has seen her scatter bit by bit, what she was and what she is now, she has separated herself from her own self, Kesar feels sad.
Precap: Talli tells Sudha that she wants to get married to whoever Sudha chooses soon. Gulaal hears this and is shocked.
Talli now wants to ruin her life to make Gulaal accept Kesar, Gulaal continues to ruin lives with her stubbornness. The scene between Poonam and Kesar was very touching and sweet, they have so much chemistry as mother-son.
