India's health minister derided homosexuality as an unnatural "disease" from the West..This is what our Health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said about homosexuality ..This is just plain hypocrisy and lack of knowledge .. how come this kind of people becomes Minister .. coincidentally he is health minister ...This is social discrimination on the basis of sexuality ... I posted this here cause Maryada too is dealing with "Homosexuality.

What do u guys think .. Is it right to term it unnatural ??Please post ur views it is a important thread ..an important issue

I really don't know what to say? It is difficult to conclude whether he is genuinely believes that or it is one of their political agenda. Either way it is dangerous. But in most cases they just don't care about such things they just say it to gather votes from homophobic and hypocrite people

All I can say when they are not ashamed of selling their mineral resource to the west and use the products made form these resources but find it difficult respect their vaalues and culture. One doesn't have to imbibe them and follow them. These ministers are the first to sell the whole country to the same world they say have diesease like homosexuality.

It is not a disease. It is simply what they are. No one has the right to judge them

Someone should ask him to define "natural"!

There are many, many species of animal life where zoologists have found AMPLE evidence of homosexuality! If his definition is "what exists in nature is natural" then in nature incest is common! Let's legalise incest!! Mother snakes eat their infant! Let's recommend mothers eating their babies!!

Someone should ask him to define "unnatural"!

If he says what does not happen in nature is unnatural, then he should stop wearing clothes, using any kind of electronic gadget, availing any mode of transport other than his legs and (if need be) his hands! He should relieve himself in full public view and have sex in public too!

What the poor man doesn't understand is that the lives of all of us are an inextricable tangle of the "natural" and the "unnatural". It does begin and end with the sex/gender of the person we sleep with.

He has been diagnosed with severe paranoia and memory loss. As one of my friends said, "Ghulam Nahin Azad"! He is not free from Victorian prejudices! Mr. Azad, GET WELL SOON!

Further, my post is meant for anyone who has the slightest sympathy for Mr. Azad. They should read the posts here and decide if they still think homosexuality is unnatural. BTW, a disease is natural. So, it cannot be a disease AND unnatural. Make up your mind, Mr. Azad! Is it a disease or is it unnatural?

I dont think it is unnatural...i dont think people should be prejudiced against homosexuals or think its weird...because they might be homo but they are still human and there is nothing wrong in supporting a fellow human who is different to you...

well...because this topic is in relation to maryada!!!!...i have an opinion...

- i could sympathise with Vidya...i mean she is a innocent girl who just wants her husbands happiness...the fact that she could not understand what Gaurav meant untill Aarti explained is also understandable...

- i dont think Vidya would called her husbands state unnatural...its just that it took her a while to understand it.

but i would definitely not call it unnatural...because it is still a human being whose wants and needs are different to you...it doesnot necessarily mean you are normal and the other person isnt...

its completely natural, its your choice, but i think homosexuals shouldn't hide themselves fearing the society, they should come out and live freely, then the perspective will change. i can't believe a man of such a responsible job calls homosexual natural "disease", if such men are hired they're not working correctly and our society will never progress.
