I had two outfits made - one for my sister and one for myself. It was back in 2007 I think and I when saw Karishma and Kareena wearing these gorgeous anarkalis on Nach Baliye (I think Kareena was on the show to promote JWM and Karishma was the judge on the show), I decided right there and then that I want one for myself!!! Sighhh, I fell in love with both of the sisters' outfit. 😳

Here are the two similar, yet different outfits I got made -

^I remember how I made my aunt and mom take me all around Mumbai for this outfit and when the shopkeepers at one store said that it's a designer's outfit and nearly impossible to make the same one, I was so disappointed! So then my dad decided to give the job to our personal fashion designer who was designing all our clothes for my cousin's wedding around that time. Thankfully, both the outfits turned out exactly how I visioned them (ours weren't exactly the same as the Kapoor sisters, but very similar)! Soo pretty. For some reason, this anarkali is very close to my heart till date and I still have it in my closet. 😆

And now...I want Anushka's 'ainvayi anvayi' outfit!
