devyani has ruined vidya's life...what is vidya's fault in all this???...if gaurav is a homosexual there is nothing wrong in it... its not something to be ashamed of...she should accept it...n now even all this she wants vidya to come back...for what??????...devyani plzzz understand vidya...u too are a woman...imagine what wud u do if the same thing happened to u...

devyani is only thinking about her son who she wants to protect coz if the truth gets out im sure SSP is going to do something bad to gaurav, guys like him would not be able to digest the fact tht his kid is gay, even though gaurav is also at fault for marrying her he is under a lot of pressure from his mom and then the fear of society, its wrong what happened to Vidya but devyani is thinking more as mom than a woman, these kinds of cases happen a lot and most ppl just try to keep them secret rather than be open about it

My nickname for Devyani is Gandhari - she closes her eyes to unpleasant truth and hopes that when she opens her eyes all will be well. She cannot see that her husband is a rogue and kamina number one. She did not see that her sister was being tormented by her husband.

The only time she acted little bit sensible was with the growing closeness between her devta and her sister - coz she can't share her rogue of a husband with anyone.

She is ready to ruin evryone's life - Aditya, Priya, Gaurav, Vidya - all because "mera pati mera devta hai" logic.

so true...she can speak for herself but not for others...she can sense SSP intentios for uttara ad stad up for herself but not for a naive sweet girl, vidya...

Devyani is a person who despite being a woman will destroy a young girls life just so she can hold her head up in society.
Even Gaurav knows hes ruined Vidyas life and she is better off at her mums house.
What does Devyani want to achieve by bringing Vidya back into a marriage which doesnt exist.

I have such utterly mixed feelings about Devyani, it scares me as well -_- Most of the time, I'm just frustrated at the things she does/says, but then there are other times which honestly make me feel SO bad for her, like in this Gaurav situation, I love seeing her as that mother who's willing to go to any extent to protect her son.

Sigh, I think she has the right end goal in her mind, but poor woman doesn't seem to be able to figure out the correct way of getting there.

I never liked Devyani, but after the epi where she shielded Gaurav from that SSP, I felt so bad for her and for the 1st time I loved her!!
But, she should not suffer at the hands of her hubby and should speak up against him.. enough of tolerating nonsense...

Her end goal is to keep Gaurav's sexuality under wraps, which is never going to make him happy, nor is it a justification. I hope her own daughter goes through the same thing then she would know the pain that Vidya is going through.

Like she's closed her eyes to her husband's bad character, she thought an innocent, less-educated girl from a poor village family, would also keep quiet about her husband. That was the only reason she brought Vidya in as her DIL. That's downright mean and Machiavellian. Devyani might not be able to help Gaurav, and might not be responsible for Priya's tragedy, nor can she be held responsible for Uttara's choices, but she is entirely at fault and 100% to blame for ruining Vidya's life.

I have two ideas about Devyani one being that I can in a way see why she did what she did, she wanted the protect her family and it's honour from society but especially from her husband who wouldn't accept it and Guarav and him already have such a violent relationship, this would be like the straw that broke the camel's back.

However, it's wrong what she did to Vidya, Throughout it she gave her false hope yet encouraged Gaurav's relationship with Karan even after marriage and Vidya was innocent in it, they both played a part in destroying her life, she didn't deserve that, yes she was from a poor family and was illiterate but that doesn't make her less of a person that her feelings wouldn't matter, she's still a woman. Did Devyani think that Vidya would be happy only having half a husband?

It's truly unbelievable that such things go on. I get that Devyani was pressurising him but Gaurav should have had some sense and said No mom that it wouldn't be fair to her, because really what is Vidya's fault? That she said yes to a marriage from a seemingly good family. Devyani closes her eyes to all the bad things and wants her daughter in laws to do the same, Vidya in regards to Gaurav's sexuality and Priya in regards to what the SSP did to her
