GEC Ratings: STAR Plus and Colors show steady rise

In Week 26, STAR Plus stayed the leader, moving up from 284 GRPs last week to 292 this week.

Colors rose by 33 GRPs from 230 last week to 263 this week.

Zee TV was at status quo at 228 GRPs.

Sony dipped 11 GRPs to 150 this week, Sab fell by 1 GRP to 137, Imagine was at 81 from 89 last week.

Star One received 35 GRPs (38 last week), and Sahara One was at 29 GRPs (from 28 last week).

Starplus may have only two shows in the top 10, Saathiya and Pratigya.

Zee and Colors may rule teh charts

Most likey RMJ will take YRKKH TRP's as its doing well

But YRKKH is a little less then RMJ same time slot is getting competition in the top 10 after the latest post I saw

I see new shows lined up and wonder which are the shows going to see the exit door

July August may have some shows going off air and new coming back

I hope Bidaaii comes back with where they left the story . as the newpapers assert

Colors gains to widen gap with Zee TV

MUMBAI: Colors, which had dropped ratings to stand dangerously close to Zee TV, has now widened the gap as it gained 33 GRPs (gross rating points) in the week ended 25 June.

Colors ended at 263 GRPs, up from 230 GRPs in the trailing week, while Zee TV maintained its status quo with 228 GRPs.


Star Plus continues to stay ahead, adding eight GRPs to end the week with 292 GRPs, according to TAM data (C&S, 4+, HSM).

Sony Entertainment Television, on the other hand, shed 11 GRPs to close the week ended 25 June with 150 GRPs. Sab maintained its position with a score of 137 GRPs (last week 138).

Imagine TV clocked 81 GRPs (last week 89), while Star One and Sahara One were at 35 GRPs and 29 GRPs respectively.



Among the top shows on the GECs, Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) stayed ahead with 5.4 TVR, followed by Colors' Balika Vadhu (4.8 TVR), Star Plus' Saathiya (4.43 TVR), Zee TV's Ram Milayi Jodi (4.4 TVR) and Star Plus' Pratigya (4.35 TVR), according to Tam data.

Star Plus adds 8 GRPs; Colors adds 33


At No. 3, Zee TV is stable at 228 points. Its relative share saw a very minor gain. It went up from 17.9 per cent in Week 25, to 18 per cent in Week 26.

Leader of the Hindi GEC flock Star Plus, has added eight extra GRPs as compared to the previous week, to earn 292 points in Week 26. Its relative share has, however, dipped to 23 per cent from the 23.3 per cent that it had registered in Week 25.

Second-in-command Colors has added 33 points to its kitty to end the week with 263 GRPs, while its channel share has moved up from 18.1 per cent, to 20.7 per cent.

At No. 3, Zee TV is stable at 228 points. Its relative share saw a very minor gain. It went up from 17.9 per cent in Week 25, to 18 per cent in Week 26.

Meanwhile, the No. 4 GEC, Sony, has witnessed an eleven-point fall from 161 GRPs to 150 GRPs. Its relative share has also decreased from 12.7 per cent, to 11.8 per cent in Week 26.

Sibling channel SAB, at the fifth position, has scored 137 GRPs in Week 26. Its relative channel share is 10.8 per cent for the week, down from 11.9 per cent during the same period.

At No. 6, Imagine TV lost 8 GRPs during the week to score 81 GRPs. Its relative share has also dropped from 7 per cent to 6.4 per cent. STAR One, with 35 GRPs and a channel share of 3 per cent, follows it.

STAR Utsav is at No. 8. The channel's relative share remains stable at 2.4 per cent, while its GRPs have moved up from 30 in Week 25 to 31 in Week 26.

Sahara One and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 2.3 per cent and 1.5 per cent, respectively.

Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 5.42, followed by Balika Vadhu (Colors) and Saathiya Saath Nibhana (Colors) with TVRs of 4.8 and 4.43, respectively.

The fourth most-watched programme is Ram Milaayi Jodi, with 4.4 TVR. Pratigya (4.35 TVR) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (4.14 TVR) follow next. Uttaran, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Na Aana Is Des Laado and Jhansi Ki Rani are also a part of the Top 10 list.
