Maninee's friendly brush with 'Krrish'

TV actor Maninee De, who refused Yash Chopra's film recently because of a fractured leg, will be seen in Rakesh Roshan's 'Krrish'. Maninee who plays Priyanka Chopra's friend is visibly excited.

"This is one of my big projects and I'm looking forward to it," she beams. The actor reveals that she bagged the role because of her character Pari in 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin'. "I was shocked when Pinky Roshan told me that she loved me as Pari and she insisted Rakeshji to cast me!"

Refusing to divulge any further details about her role Maninee adds, "They wanted shades of Pari in my character. But I love challenges and want to do different kind of roles. So I tweaked the character a little. I am quite self critical and I sincerely feel that my job in 'Krrish' is great."

Apart from 'Twinkle Beauty Parlour' Maninee is busy with three big projects on television and two films. "I don't want to talk about them right away," she says.

But talking about her new role as a cricket commentator in Sahara One's 'Not Just Cricket' Maninee reveals, "I don't follow cricket at all. I love football. But my co-host VJ Gaurav and cricket experts like Ajay Jadeja and Jatin Paranjpe have been extremely helpful. The channel has also asked me to host the cricket series in Abu Dhabi. It's unbelievable."
