Hello Hello Hello!😳😳😳
I feel so happy today, cos my brain is overflowing with ideas, realisations of today's episode! I feel surprised that at my ability to even think of such ideas!😆 There are very few times I feel as enlightened as budha once felt under the bodhi tree, and today is one of them.😆
so today, i shall analyse the whole episode cos it's just fab!😳
okay, the episode first starts out with Yogesh being a total D***head! But in a way i liked the scene cos for the first time in indian tv's history, have i ever felt that a serial could be so realistic. yes, yogesh is an A****le and all, but when you see that conversation between gulaal, revji bhai and yogesh, it's powerful and so REAL! now let's see where each of them stand.
GULAAL - she is away from kesar's home cos she is obviously very uncomfortable with the way things have turned out between them. so her main goal was to be away from him so that she can avoid him, and also in a way avoid her problems.
REVJIBHAI - will not take any step that goes against his daughter's wishes, cos that's what she wants, the rest of the world be damned.
YOGESH - is now very pissed at gulaal cos she was the reason he got kicked out of his job. so now he can't fend for his family, plus he has got a 5 year old son to take care of.
each of them, blood-related, are now at point where they all now fighting with each other cos of their personal problems. one would usually think that people blood related (esp. as close as revjibhai's family) would stand up for each other, but there would be a point of time, when they would fight WITH each because they don;t get what they don't want. this happens in so many families. i personally know MANY families who would do this to each other. and this concept is not new to us. usually, in other serials, families do have intra-familial conflicts, but it's mostly cos of jealousy. yogesh does love gulaal, and even revji loves his son, but this is the point where they are concerned about their own well-being. i guess this is a very innate instinct to first think about oneself before others. a very different yet real concept, and my heartfelt gratitude to the CVs for demonstrating this so well!
then we come to that episode's precap scene between kesar and sudha. YUP, my suspicions have come true, sudha is a fully blown vamp. and i hate her. 🤬 what was so striking about the scene was, as before, sudha is trying to poison kesar's mind, and as before, kesar will not hear anything against gulaal.😳 his love is so pure, but is misunderstood by everyone (i shall speak on this later on.. i am quite excited to share with you what i have in my mind!😉). i want to see how this turns out to be.😳 as for sudha, why does she want talli to be tied to a very unhappy marriage like her? does she have no brains!? wait, dont answer that question.. it's rhetorical...😆 and by the end of the scene, he was left to contemplate on what she said, but you could see the dropping of his shoulders in heavy defeat, as if he is really at a dead end. oh poor thing.😭
then comes the scene with dushy at revji bhai's house (might i say how very mature he was while speaking to them... wow man! gulaal has had a good influence on him, and this change is permanent!). revji bhai is still supporting gulaal, and poonamba is against her, while gulaal (so her!😳) eavesdrops and at the end of the scene, you totally get the feeling that she'll change her mind and go back.
the scene with vasant's photo, was my second favourite (favourite wala baad mein bataoingi!)! i dont know whether to commend the lightings department, or the cameramen, or manasi parekh or all of them on what i saw today! vasant's photo, had that strong light on it as if he's some soul, so bright! esp. with the diya at the bottom, depicting his soul. i dont know how to explain this, but the way his photo was hung, the lighting effect and the diya, gave me such warmth, as if i have been touched by his warm and kind soul itself. and the way manasi was shown. yellow light from one side (life, warmth) and white light from the other (cold, soulless). and then she contemplated what she heard, what happened in the past few days, looked up to vasant, and then you see that stone-face of hers (it felt so painful!), and whatever warmth you see in her just disappeared and she switched off the source of light, her soul. and at that point, believe it or not, it felt like gulaal's soul was just lost, because of what she decided. and i knew she's gonna go back, but she wont be going back as gulaal.
and then next morning, gulaal comes back. somehow, i was not very happy cos of what i previously saw and esp. upon seeing gulaal's face. there's nothing left. i could never imagine her being emotionless completely, but for a moment there, i saw neither happiness, nor sadness, nor anger, anything, to remotely show anything similar to any emotion. her face was smooth, wrinkle free forehead, half-opened eyes, perfect visual description of stone-face. and then i hear her voice, and something else inside me dies. it was so blank. so pitch, no tone, just words. but this was before kesar appeared. when he comes, i finally see something!!! her tears, her anger, her resentment towards him. i believe only kesar will manage to bring back the light in her as he always did, with his coming back to the house, etc. and then you can see kesar finally realising his mistake of being so stubborn, as his smile disappears, his awkward stern smile appearing, slowly that disappears and in comes regretful expression, and finally tears when she says that he has murdered her emotions and that she can never forgive him.
btw, (joke moment!) arti is finally single, and available for you guys to have! her bhavana had been strangled and thrown into the river by kesar!😉 so arty barty, but you still have hukka paani right?😉
okay jokes aside, and now comes my THE favourite scene of the episode. gulaal in kesar's room! HOLY JESUS! i was so surprised she was in her room! i literally gaped at my laptop screen like a gold-fish (a rather cute one though..😉). okay, i'll first tell my input on how i felt when the conversation was going on between them and then i'll say why i loved the scene so much. kesar walks in, a very surprised to see gulaal in his room with her luggage, asks her what on earth is she doing in his room, and BAM! her change in expression was the definition of FAST AND FURIOUS! woah. i got scared man!😆 she replies with a BITINGLY SARCASTIC remark, "jaise ki tu janta hi nahin", and kesar stares on totally baffled! and then she repeats what he said to everyone, in her interpretation, and you know that moment, that gulaal has gotten it all wrong. "Teri chahat puri ho gayi kesar!" eee, i got jeepers creepers after hearing that! kesar tries to explain what he actually meant by it, but she insists that THIS is what he wanted. kesar again restates what he meant by "staying close to him", and then says, mere pyaar ko galat mat samajh. and gulaal throws it back at him with a "teri mooh se pyaar ek gaali lagti hai" and the reaction kesar had was AWESOME! the utter incredibility of what she said totally threw him back! i was surprised myself! then gulaal knocks some sense into him with explaining xactly what love is, and you can see some realisation dawn upon him as he looks at vasant's photo, and vasant's expression is no more the smiling one, it a raised eyebrow, as if challenging kesar to prove his love for gulaal the way she deems it. i dont know, but that expression was definitely like a challenge directed at him. she then goes on to say the same thing revji bhai said, and i see some truth in her words. SOME. cos yes, kesar was being selfish in his love. he knows he loves her, but his love is somewhat tainted with selfishness, with a lot of other things. then comes the dialogue i was so disgusted with (more so than kesar, cos before he said chee, i was screaming "yuck" "yuck" at the top of my voice!), omg. kesar knew what she meant by the end of it, and just like me, he was too disgusted, and questioned her sanity. it was true what he said, HOW CAN SHE THINK ABOUT KESAR IN THAT MANNER?!
i'll tell you why she thought of him as so "gira hua" along with why this was my favourite scene. this scene has a such a strong parallel with the scene when dushy kidnapped her and took her away to "make her his". he wanted her to be his in the most disgusting manner cos he lusted for. she did not like it cos he was her devar and even then she said to D that no matter what you do to me, i'll always be vasant's and never yours. physically you have your claim upon me, but my sould is attached to vasants. now friends, let us come back to the present. look at the facts, kesar is her ex-devar, kesar is too in love her (in her opinion he is lusting for her), and she was forced to come to him, just like with D. her past, her memory has been tainted with dushy's almost forcing himself upon her, and this is why even kesar's love is "paap" for her, cos she thinks kesar is doing the same as D did before. we all know that very recently she confessed to D that she never forgave him, which means, she still remembers what he did to vasant and her. its such a irony that neither kesar nor gulaal are at fault, cos once again, D manages to become the root of this problem, like many others. this was by far my favourite scene, cos this was the point where the CVs showed us gulaal's POV of her devars. and from now on, we will see her change her opinion about kesar, and she will see how different kesar is from D, as he is from vasant, cos that's the point he has already stated.
and guys, i have a feeling, kesar is gonna happen upon gulaal's diary. 😊 and when that happens, kesar will explain to her why he is different from D and he will (most probably) go after Dushy's blood.
