Laxmi is talking to Hurshuk about how nice the weather is. She gets upset when he doesn't respond. She tells him to get better quick as everyone needs him.
Tej is walking in the rain following a woman dressed in modern clothes. He stares at her and then grabs her shoulder and turns her around just then Uttang shouts Jeju. He pretends to know the girl and says Mailka how have you been. The woman pushes him and says I don't know you and walks off. Uttang laugh and Tej's plays it off saying he thought it was his friend's sister. He goes with uttang to the car and notices some women sitting in the back he tells Uttang that he will sit in the back as the young sit in the front.
Ba is talking about ingredients which need to be brought. Kaveri curiously asks why Ba wants those particular ingredients. Laxmi walks in and excitedly says you're going to make parila. Everyone smiles. Mahen says parila is Angad's favourite dish. Ba gets super happy saying Angad's coming home. Everyone says Angad, all are excited. Laxmi asks who is Angad. Minny says my brother, Ba shrugs her off saying he's my grandson, Dada says he's my grandson too. Dada's friend says give the mother credit to, Shobna has a massive smile and dada adds he's shobna's and Vijay's son. Dada continues and says he went to study in New Zealand. Kaveri asks when did they find out. Shobna replies last night, and he told me not to tell anyone but in the excitement I couldn't keep quiet. Mahen starts talking about Angad and how he, Mahen can't beat him in chess. Shobna says that's right he knows how to win, he doesn't hurt anyone and he can't tolerate anyone being hurt. Shobna adds that if he wasn't sent with his cousin then he would be here happily with us. Everyone stops smiling. Shobna walks off. Ba says Shobna always finds the negative in everything. Kaveri says to Laxmi when you meet him you will understand how nice he is.
Suraj is sitting with another man talking about meeting a producer. The other man has an interview as well and brags about the other offers he had. Suraj's friend arrives and says he's recommended him for some work in the production house, he give Suraj his card. Suraj thanks him and stares at the card. He remembers Laxmi telling him she believes in him.
Uttang arrives home with his friends 2 guys, 2 girls. Kaveri tells them to sit and for Randar to bring a towel as their all drenched. Tej stares at Randar. Ba sees the friends and shouts them to stops asking who they are. Uttang quickly arrives and says they are mine and Randar's college friends, Ba asks Uttang on their why they are dressed weirdly. She asks if they are from poor families. The friends are all laughing. Uttang says its fashion. The friends says hello to Ba. The friends seem find Ba's talks amusing. Dadi asks about the girls tattoo and they have a conversation about what a tattoo was called in Ba's village. (Kinda pointless part!!) The friends sit in the lounge and Shobna arrives. Uttang introduces her as his mum. She asks Randar to make some food for her friends as she cooks really well. Her friends say we didn't know you could cook Randar feels uncomfortable and Uttang stops smiling. Shobna says she is our cooks daughters and she cooks for us. She tells Randar to make pakora's. One of the friends says no need the pakoras are coming. Laxmi arrives with them and Uttang praises Laxmi saying she is his sweet bhabi. Shobna does like this and walks off. One of the girls asks Randar if she has met their new accounts teachers. Randar says no and then Tej walks in, Randar looks at him, he looks back. A flashback is shown when Tej tried to get close to and grab Randar's hand whilst they were in a taxi. Randar feels uncomfortable and says she is going to help Laxmi, she walks past Tej whilst he continues to look at her.
Laxmi is in the kitchen cooking when Randar slowly walks in. Laxmi says why are you here go sit with your friends. Randar say I will talk to them later, she starts working and drops a pot. Laxmi notices something is wrong and asks her about it. Randar says nothing is wrong. Laxmi persists until Randar tells her about Tej looking at her in a wrongful manner and she doesn't like the way he talks to her either. Laxmi says she understand what she is trying to say and tells her to try and stay away as we can't say anything because he is the son in law but if anything happens to tell her. Randar says ok. It starts raining and Laxmi tells Randar to finish making the pakoras as she has to check to make sure the windows are closed.
The phone rings and its Suraj, he's excited and tells Laxmi that his interview with the director well really well and if his demonstration film goes well then he will be given the opportunity to direct 3 movies and become in charge of a television network. Laxmi tells him it's great. Suraj says now all I need in 5 grand, I managed to get this far and I will somehow manage to get the money as well, he tells Laxmi to not worry as he will call her when he gets hold of the money. Laxmi is left thinking. She is shown praying.
Kaveri sees Laxmi and tells her that Uttangs friends were praising her. Laxmi tells her that she wants to give Suraj 5 grand. The whole family are shown and are discussing giving Suraj the money. Laxmi says he needs it so I want to give it to him. Vijay says when I told you to give him the money you said no and insulted him in front of everyone. If you believed it was wrong to give him the money then, then it is still wrong to give him money today. Laxmi walks up to Vijay and say there's a big difference in that Suraj and todays Suraj. She says today Suraj didn't ask for the money and said he will arrange the money himself. She says last time Suraj wanted his inheritance but today he wants to make something of himself and that's why he needs the money, she turns to the family and says we as the family should support him in his quest to better himself. She turns to Vijay again and says I know how much you love him, don't you want him to succeed. Everyone except Shobna and Vijay melt and says we agree with your decision, give him the money.
Suraj is sitting at Dhaba looking a little worried when Laxmi arrives, She calls him, he says you're here, and tells her to sit, he even offers to buy her tea. Laxmi declines and gives him a cheque for 5 grand. Suraj looks at her. Laxmi says this is for you, I know you didn't ask for it but it's also a right of yours to get something you didn't ask for. Suraj tries to say something but Laxmi interrupts and says your dream is right in front of you go live it. Suraj is staring at her. Laxmi walks off she stops, she turns and says Suraj don't worry I don't expect anything from you in return, this money is your fathers and you have every right to it. Suraj looks down and say I wanted to say something regarding you and me. Laxmi replies don't burden yourself we were, are and shall always be good friends. Suraj smiles at her. Laxmi puts her hand forward to shake hands and says all the best in English. Suraj is surprised and asks where she learnt her English. Laxmi replies Mahen teaches her. Suraj smiles and says shall I tell you something I've always had friends but only today I realised what a true friend is. Laxmi replies that only people who are truthful make true friend and she walks off leaving Suraj looking at her.
Precap: Laxmi is on the phone with a man, she asks who he's looking for, he playfully says I will talk to you, Laxmi replies you're very strange the man replies strange and crazy. Laxmi puts the phone down and seems confused.
