I would like to know what kind of an office are they trying to portray. ASR is supposed to be this no nonsense type boss. Fine, he works in fashion, textiles, whatever. The dress code is not going to be the same as a bank. I think we are all smart enough to realize that. But quite frankly, there is not a modicum of professionalism in that office - except for ASR and the men. Why are the men in the fashion house not dressed in tight jeans and tight t shirts? Why is it the women are portrayed not only as high school mean girls but are dressed in clothes I last saw at night clubs on South Beach?

I love the chemistry between Arnav and Khushi. I understand the need to show how naive Khushi is about the ways of the "modern, western" world. But honestly, I am sick of the western world and its influence being shown like this. And quite frankly, I am put off by the production house making Khushi out to be some kind of ditz who sucked up a canister of 'laughing' gas at the dentist being lead by Pam and Sim, more affectionately called Dumb and Dumber. If Khushi is always trying to be filmy, I don't understand why this office is a surprise to her.

ArHi scenes are coming and I am holding on for those. I am just going to have to block out the disco that they are calling an office.

sidenote - does anyone else think that this episode is loosely based on The Devil Wears Prada?

you stole the words out my mouth . i am really trying not to concentrate on the surroundings or how dumb and dumber Khushi's character is becoming.. one thing I don't get is, she's dumb around dumber people , but when Arnav comes into the picture, they make her super sherni? why can't she also do the same with dumber.

why is Khushi so damn different with Arnav, can back talk to him and raise her voice, and not aganist the dumber gang. dumb and dumber cannot do anything to her. why is she afraid of them and not Arnav? kinda confused on the logic here?

On another note, no sham for today episode has been AMAZING

Agreed.
I couldn't believe the CVs are portraying that disco club as an office where people work. We all know that is definitely not how offices are nor are the employees so non-serious. Although i am beginning to like Lavanya's character but i don't get her attitude towards her work. Factually, she's supposed to be a very serious employee but all she does is wave her nails at people's faces.
I'm very very excited to see ArHi's first meeting and am only watching it because of them. Inspite of Khushi's childish antics, the jodi is a hit and like you, it's easier to watch the show if the disco based office is ignored.

The things is that Western World is simply not the way India ses it .
The first things you learn when you come here -
never look or stare at anyone for more than 5 secs.
Never comment on anyone's dress.
Everyone has the right to wear anything .
At work you must dress in formals and not club or cocktail wears.
I dont know why but I really want Khushi to wear a zaara or armani formal suit and get into that office .
I know San will cary it perfectly . and will look glamourous next to Barun

It amused me how the others were making fun of Khushi while they are wearing bright vibrant mini skirts and whatnot :/

^^^^^^^^^^^
The bright color of their minis is offset by their bare shoulders, backs and legs. So, on a fabric per yard basis, Khushi is louder. 😆

If I ever showed up to work like this pack of ding dongs - I would have put my bag down in my office and then would have had Human Resources be my next stop, with my boss showing me the way.

Was it only me who noticed that about 95 % were only GIRLS? I only saw like 1 or 2 men..

I get that they want to show that its a MODERN office with westernized people BUT hahahahaaha those short short party dresses?

When youre at an office, no matter where you work, you have a formal dress code, may it be official or not ^^

You are right about Arnav's office. I wish he had an office and ppl with more professional look.

Khushi's character is also shown to be kinda dumb when she is with others. I know she is from Lucknow, but most youngsters use the word 'office' and not 'karyalay'. It is possible to have an accent, but most educated young people in India do use some basic English words.
I don't understand why CVs have to make Khush's character silly to show comedy.
