After today's episode, to a great extent, i could make out good , consistent singers from the average ones.

Shreyas team-

Manjeera will go a long long way.

Geet sagar has the potential to stick around.

Kartarji will go away soon.

Amit jadhav will go far for his dancing, not for his singing. He was awful today.

Sonus team-

Piyush's weakness was exposed today. he may or may not survive to the top.

Sahiti has to buck up, seriously.

Seema is his trump card. She will be at the top in his team.

Shovon is another hard working, sincere, solid base in music, singer. should go far.

SLB s team--

The nirmitee group has the potential to win this competition.

deewana follow closely behind.

sajda also will reach the top.

The LM group were excellent today.

I somehow feel SLB has the advantage of having 3 excellent teams and the LM group too. 3.75?

Is SLB's mentoring better? or does he leave them to their creative ideas. whatever it is, his team has the advantage of being brilliant in every way.

If the finals would not have one from each team, then SLBs team would be 1-2-3-4👏

I agree with most part your assessment on the singers and groups. I feel LM group shouldnt have been selected right from the begining. They performed better than last week but they are no match or comes closer tothe other performers for that matter. SLB should have chosen Pancham group instead of LM. Kartar jee and LM group are the weakest link among top 12.

I don't think the judges are able to find flaws in groups singing just because there are so many singers in a group.. that's why week after week each group is showered with compliments

This is what i had posted a few days ago on some other thread.

posting it again here.😊

One mistake in a group is more obvious than in an individual.😊

I personally find group singing tough and i mean tough😆

An individual can sing and improvise, cover up his/her mistakes as he/she sings along, if he/she has the smartness, quick thinking to get back on his/her feet in a jiffy.

That marks a true, genuine singer, from the rote singers😊

Only a discerning viewer/listener can know what happened, where👏

Where as in a group, all one singer has to do is add a note, or change the pitch and he/she stands out like a red flag. it is damn irritating. You may not know who has committed the mistake, you definitely know it has been committed😆

I like group singing.👏

The last song of the Last light group, i really enjoyed, it was fun and innovative, in the use of voices and blended so well.

No one liked this group, except me, i guess😆, so kill me!!!!!!😆

Seriously, they don't make mistakes. sometimes, their innovations may not be pleasing, but singing wise, they have been flawless👏

Hmm I understand the point you're making, and you're right how if one singer messes up.. it can easily throw the whole song off in they're not all perfectly insync

But I don't know if fully agree because one singer can't just improvise and let it be.. to be able to solely perform from beginning to end by yourself and have 3 judges have an intense focus on just your voice alone can be overwhelming

Like look at that 'main hoon deewana tera' song sung by deewana group... its such a hard song to sing in general and here the group were able to seperate the song and distribute the pieces to whoever felt most comfortable with whatever line

Or even the sajda sisters audition when they sang dola re and how sonu commented that whoever was comfy with high notes handled that and whoever was with low notes and so on etc.

A solo singer has to take the burden of the whole song on their shoulders ontop of having impeccable breath control

Look at last minute group.. if out of the 8 girls, one is feeling breathless.. she can easily just mouth the words and noone will be able to tell and pinpoint who is singing and who is not... who is having breath problems and who isn't

But I think both (solo and groups) put in a lot of hard work so great job to all

I can understand your point of view too😊

Group singing is a novelty for me on these kind of shows and i am finding it fascinating.😊

Solo and duets to some extent, we have heard on every show😳

If i seem biased towards these group singers, so be it😆

Yea sometimes it surprises me how fascinated sonu is with groups and is always commenting how he's never seen that live

I graduated from an arts and performing arts high school and the performances we would have were mindblowing.. So none of this really surprises me, even how sonu loves Amit being able to sing and dance.. Well look at American singers/performers.. They can all do that

And if anyone has seen a broadway musical then all of that is mixed with acting as well.. I'm surprised sonu never caught a play here since he's been here quite a lot
