Khatron Ke Khiladi 4 opens to a low rating
Akshay Kumar's return as host to Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar doesn't seem to have enthused the viewers much as it has opened to a rating of 2.95, according to TAM. Priyanka Chopra's Khatron Ke Khiladi had opened to a rating of 5.5, while Akshay's first two seasons had opened to 1.72 and 4.37 respectively. Last year, Akshay's Master Chef India, which was aired on weekends, had also opened to a rating of 2.6. Looks like the khiladi has more pull on weekdays than weekends because this time KKK is also a weekend show. Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, Colors, had said that the reason behind scheduling KKK on weekends was to strengthen that band. It remains to be seen if the show manages that in the forthcoming episodes.
