Shatru-murg: The real nemesis
TNN | Jun 10, 2011, 12.00am ISTThe pretty women of Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar were in for a rude shock recently. And this time, it wasn't Akshay bullying them, but a bird!
In one of the stunts named shatru-murg, the haseenas on the show had to battle a wobble of ostriches or shatrumurgs, as they are known in Hindi, to get them into an enclosure.
Every team had its own strategy to win this stunt, and there was something very entertaining about each strategy. While some resorted to aggression, others decided to coddle the flightless bird into submission and there were others who resorted to using some rather innovative ideas.
Two of these teams were those of Poonam and Aarthi.Though Poonam and Praveen coaxed the birds real hard to get what they wanted, they almost ended up being kicked by one of the birds! On the other hand, Aarti tried to converse with the ostrich in what she thought was ostrich-speak.
However, neither her partner, nor the contestants seemed to understand what she was doing. And judging by the blank stare she got from the ostrich, we're guessing the bird didn't understand a word either!
