Isn't this true with all Zee TV showsđ. Don't really know what they want to show...I think the cVs take their audience for granted and just uses a stupid formula for TPR that is allđ

No, this is not true w/all Zee tv shows. I follow a Zee serial- "Bhagonwali" & this show is packed w/meaning & has unconventional writing. I used to hate Indian serials but I fell in love w/this show. People say that they like how this show is different. "Bhagonwali" is a very loved show (I'm an active member of the "Bhagonwali" forum & I visit the facebook pages of the show so I know about how people feel about this show) but it doesn't have as high of TRP's as most of the other serials on Zee tv. The TRP system is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of in my life. The handful of houses in India w/the TRP device installed in their homes are not pickin' up "Bhagonwali" being viewed at a particular time slot as much I guess. I live in the U.S. & am an active member of the "Bhagonwali" forum on the IF website & I watch pretty much every episode of this show twice (I first watch the episode online & then I'll watch it later on in the day when it airs on tv. I put so much effort into this show yet none of my efforts & tons of other peoples' efforts from the rest of India (the homes without the TRP devices) & the rest of the world don't get counted. No wonder why "Bhagonwali" fans are hecka pissed at Zee network & worried that this gem of a show may go off air in the near future. It's plain sad because so many people like this show. I have never even got the feeling that the CV's of "Bhagonwali" are takin' it's audience for granted.I used to like RMJ but w/watchin' bits & pieces of this show & reading peoples' comments on it, I understand why some people don't like it. My sister thinks the same thing happens over & over again on RMJ- Anukulp's mom keeps on gettin' mad at Mona even though she isn't a bad bahu. She watches bits & pieces of this show as well. I really like the main heroines on both these shows. It's kinda funny to think about what I just said because Runjhun & Mona are so different from eachotherđ They're my favorite Zee heroinesđSorry, it's not that I'm upset w/u Kalapi. I'm just really passionate about "Bhagonwali"đ I mean I am posting on the RMJ forum & not all RMJ viewers watch "Bhagonwali" so no worries.
I agree with you. There is nothing anyone can learn from this show. There is only negativity all the time.Originally posted by: Naina007
I seriously don't get what their trying to portray or teach the audience?
Be like Anchal(desperate) and try to steal someone else's husband?Be like Ambaji(no wisdom or compassion) and always yell at your daughter in law no matter what she does for you?Be like Hetal(immature) and always show attitude in your saasural and learn how to divide the house?Be like Anukalp (spineless) who never defends his wife nor ever understands her?Or...be like Mona whose husband never supports her, mother in law can never love her, yet still trying her hardest to please them and often at times succeeding yet continuing the cycle.I'm going to ignore phui, baa, the Gandhi men as well as the other Bedi family members.Even the Mahabharata had an end, but the manipulations, lying, back biting and naive nature won't end in this show as each of these characters are completely prone to doing the same thing over and over and over again!Honestly, this may be a show but if I were Mona I wouldn't put myself through this over and over and over again.
Hey lets agree to disagree: I watch both shows and am in US ...I find Bhagowali a disgrace to womanhood...even with all the love blooming between Runjhum and Guddu, the basis of the story is faulty...a value of a woman is in her kundali...please give a break...what does it teaches the general mass...more female foeticides...even when the female:male ratio is falling fast...what can I do - being a women can't agree with you , the the worst is not making her a valued and contributing member of the society, but a devi valued for a kundali so the extend of rather degrading her...sorry have to sadly disagree:(In a way RMJ is also a reflective of the society with ideal boys being one who follows mother without questions etc...but all shows in Zee are anything but progressive...I think you will agree Bhagowali is also not progressive at all...TRP is a much need aspect of TV and its business, US also have asimilar system..or else how to they do target marketing through TV, (one such example of TRPs use:)). Similar system are also used by gmail etc., can't blame them for using the system to understand viewership, why will a company advertise if they is fewer viewership then the optimal level, just my Pov. Do enjoy Bhagowali.
