Khaufnaak replaces Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin |
Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahiin created a rage on the small screen. Jassi's makeovers weren't any less than national news. While the first makeover was indeed a breaking news, every following makeover too got its share of attention. Be it her marriage or breakup and further marriages, the episodes were discussed at length. Now that the opera is being replaced, should it not be a News Flash. Jassi is replaced by Adhikari Brothers promoted horror show called Khaufnaak. Khaufnaak features stories that will chill you to the bone. Tales of horror - super natural entities, black magic, evil spirits, the dead rising from their graves to avenge themselves. A weekly one-hour dose of the most feared of all emotion - fear itself, it is not for those with weak hearts. The First Episode Sahil Thakkar (played by Prashant Narayanan), a blood pressure patient decides to take a break and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It suddenly starts raining and he decides to spend the night at an old friend - Krishnakant's house. An old servant opens the door. There's an eerie air about everything in the mansion. Krishnakant is not at home but Sahil is given a very warm welcome by his sister and brother-in-law. They make him comfortable and go out of the room to get coffee for him. Meanwhile, Sahil starts talking to Krishnakant's old mother, who tells him stories about her two dead sisters and then leaves. Krishnakant's sister and brother-in-law, meanwhile enter and tell him how Krishnakant's mother had expired three months ago. Sahil is shell shocked...he had just had a conversation with their mother. He goes to the washroom to freshen up and has a near heart attack when he again sees Krishanakant's mother there. He pleads with her to let him go. The mother, in fact, is more surprised to learn that Sahil had been talking to her daughter and son-in-law as they had died three months ago in a road accident. Sahil feels completely entrapped in the haunted mansion. |
