She did not make any reference about the Chunar being for Talli, but she told her that he has given it to her because he knows that Talli will dig it out of her closet. Talli would interpret it as it is for her.
Regarding the Chunar issue as such, she kept eyeing the chunar which was in Talli's hands. Especially just in the scene prior to Talli saying she doubted him unnecessarily, and again just before she said I shouldn't have asked him about it that time. She concentrated on the Chunar in Talli's hand as she tried to focus on her talks.Even after she wore it, Gulaal turned around shocked and with tears and a ???fake smile admitted she was indeed looking good. But she kept holding the edge of the Chunar in that scene.I find her attachment to Imli, Chunar , all stuff which Kesar got for her confusing because she is bent upon pushing the Kesar_Talli alliance forward and more so strange she was seeking apology from Talli as though she hit Talli's husband.Regarding undertanding Gulaal's feelings, it has been hard to understand her expressions and never been as easy as it is with Kesar whose feelings just reflect in his eyes.Its funny that for the Puja, Gulaal is wearing the green bangles Kesar got for her and Talli has gone to wear the bangles Kesar brought for her when he returned. And now Talli is wearing the chunar Kesar got for Gulaal. Heights!!!
I did say before that Gulaal didnt make make the reference to Talli, that its hers - Talli assumed it was hers and took even when Gulaal told her to put it back and so on
I did notice when i watched the episode again later, that she did keep eyeing the chunar up and so on, and she was so quiet and avoiding Talli, it was kinda hard to understand what exactly is going with her at 'that moment' (besides we know he she is troubled and things are getting to her, breaking down happened to her and she is someone who controls herself and keeps her emotions inside of her, so breaking down and crying was a big thing for her) but then i think about everything that has happened lately and so on, and doing this vrat and what she did to Kesar and how guilty she felt and tears in her eyes and the way she changed her expression when PB says to her that nothing is going well for Kesar and so on
Most of me think its coz of her being uncomfy with this vrat and doing it as a wife, and to show ppl and the equation between her and Kesar has changed after what he had said to her, and then the chunar seeing it ton Talli would be making her uncomfy as well, coz more in fear of what Kesar will be like and so on
But as i think for any neutral viewer they would think what you just said, that something more is there from Gulaal esp in this episode
