Gosh!... they even copied the title..well almost.. as always is case with the "inspiration" 😆!!

so yesterday v got yet another episode inspired very very heavily from one of Monk's episode.. Monk and the Marathon Man.. Season 1 episode 9...

well yet another "poor" and "overly dramatized" copy of the original.. .. it reminded me of tht fat man epi.. copied from Mr. Monk Meets Dale the Whale..😃

The ferriwheel murder was yet another copy of Monk Goes to Carnival

i m not following adalaat regularly.. bt whenever i give it a try i come across jst a copy!...😒.. obviously after watching the original one and knowing the answer to the mystery... this copied version looks very dull.. its very disappointing...

I don't think you're a member of this forum. Even if the writers copied then what's the need to open a useless thread for this? This isn't a dead show's forum that anoyne can come and post the same thing that too in different threads.

I also know that some of the cases are copied but that's the writers fault.

If you don't like the show then please don't visit this forum and avoid opening useless threads. Then also if you want to post your view then kindly move towards Rating or Case chat thread.

Even if one copy but then also need to be presented in best way so that audience can digest and appreciate. I know copying is bad and shouldn't be done or credit should be given from where they copied.

I love this how more for its dialogues and would love to know were they also copied?

Thee were and are number of copied movies and serials as everyone know. Some are hit and some flop. Just copying doesn't make show hit or flop there are number of other elements as well which can't be ignored and writer should find out way to make innovative story than copying.

If this show is hit/flop not just on copying the way its is presented and result tells you.

why do people get so offensive about this show
I mean seriously if the story is not good, then the presentation doesn't even matter
plus the show is very plagiarized and cheesy-fied

and i love it...not the plagerized part though

I really don't think this is necessary to point out. Even if the episodes are "copied" as you put them, they are different in their own way. KD is not Monk and Monk is not KD. KD solves the cases in his own way, and Monk probably solved the cases in his own way. Just because the case ideas are the same does not mean they are copied.

It may be a good idea to bring it up, but this forum is not dead and neither is anyone here to hate on KD or the show. Most of us here like the show and we critique the episode and not the shows.

As much as u love KD, i love Monk.. and you would know exactly how i felt if someone copies KD's stories... and present them as theirs! Ask CIDians who get irked if other Sony show copy their stories.. The fact will be fact tht it is copy even if it gives the show a bad name and ppl should now it.. and the producers should know it tht viewers are no fool.. and they have a competition at international level with pool of channels... so that they come up with some nice gud and original stories.. and so that the ultimate winner are Viewers who want some gud shows and not the TRP-seeking producers😳

even i dont mind copying bt it shud be entertaining.. and credit should be given to original writers.. at least.. there is no shame! I bet if they knew they wud definitely sue Adaalat produces.. for copying the same basic story plot.. i didnt comment earlier for Fat man epi.. bcoz it was slightly different bt here its a ditto copy with some more masala added.. and thts were it hurts.. plus Monk is my all time favorite.. KD should built his own image..

if Adaalat producers r reading this.. plz do something original..!

In fact i started watching this show becoz of KD aka Ronit Roy and initially i liked the epis and i like Ronit Roy a lot.. bt then i realized its more or less a copy just packaged differently... its a novel attempt on Indian TV bt I believe the show needs to b criticized if it copies the basic plot without giving due credit to its original version.. there is no shame in doing tht.. tho paying the royalty is the tough part i guess... and i said to shruti..

I agree that the producers should acknowledge that they are "borrowing" their concepts from the original version, but again I highlight the fact that they are "borrowing" the idea and as long as they are paying a royalty to the original or the orginal are not objecting, we shouldn't have an objection either. 😊
