| NIKAA... MAIN LAUT AAYI: Urvashi Dholakia | The stage is set for the return of Urvashi Dholakia, who plays the scheming Komolika in Star Plus daily, Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
Though entry-exits are commonplace on the small screen, the reappearance of this character arouses interest due to the buzz around her disappearance from the show.
Reports said Urvashi's troubled relationship with co-stars Anurag (Cezanne Khan), Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) and Apo*na (Geetanjali Tikekar), had led to her exit, especially after Apo*na's character was brought back.
Chance encounter
Last week, Dholakia visited the Balaji office, and much to her chagrin, found the entire Kasautii unit there. Onlookers say she was visibly embarrassed to see her co-actors at the venue; normally, the daily is not shot at this venue, and she had to come face-to-face with her co-stars, with whom she hadn't been in touch since her exit.
'No fight'
Says producer Ekta Kapoor, "Yes, Urvashi is coming back to Kasautii. There was no major issue with her. There was no fight with her in the first place, so there is no question of a patch-up. But yes, her character is definitely returning."
The actress, however, maintains that at this juncture, she would not want to talk about her re-entry. "Yes, I did receive a call from the unit about my re-entry in the show. But I have not met Ekta yet. There are several things to be looked at before that," she says.
Urvashi's character has been missing for several months. Earlier this year, she was slated to re-enter the show, but that didn't materialise. The buzz that did the rounds was that she had backed out at the last minute. She had moved out of the show citing personal reasons, as she wanted a break to proceed on a holiday, as well as due to health reasons.
She also announced that she would set up a production house, which has yet to see the light of day. Post Kasautii, Dholakia did a cameo in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.
She will also be seen in Sony's afternoon drama, Rishton Ki Dor. The actress was also in the news recently, for her link-up with music composer Sandeep Chowta. |
