June 1st: Things I liked

I have to say upfront that Soumya's acting ruined the amazing amount of potential this epi had...I'm saying it bluntly...this is some of Soumya's worst acting so far in this show...I've appreciated her whenever she's done good and defended her many times too but this was a major letdown.

Anyways, getting that out of the way...to the things I did like:


1) Anant pouring his heart out to Navya...telling her everything that's on his mind...expressing everything we've all discussed since a while now...he admits he rushed, he admits all this is new to him as well and he didn't know what was happening to him either...that he never meant to hurt her...and just didn't know what happened...the way admits that he's been behaving weirdly jabse usse dosti huyi hai😆...the line I thought was the sweetest was, "Mujhe nahin pata tha main itna ziddi hoon"😆...and the way he lists out all the incidents when he forced her to come to the engagement, forced her to let him give her a ride...Shaheer acted very naturally in this scene...good job...Soumya on the other hand *sigh*...Usually it's her knitted brow expression and the moving around of her eyes that bothers me but now she's added a new irritant to her repertoire...the open mouthed expression...seriously for the life of me, I could NOT decipher what Navya's expressions were meant to express today...and I tried hard to see this from all angles...her voice modulation was also horrible in the first bit when she says sorry to Anant...I get that she's a confused, crying teenager but this was just bad acting, period. Anant was pouring his heart out and Navya was just standing there crying open-mouthedly...we are supposed to feel sorry for her in that moment but I could not even understand what they were trying to show with Navya😕😕...If Soumya had reacted appropriately to Anant's confession bits...just expressions wise also...this scene would have turned out far better.

She was slightly better in the ending bit though when she reacts to Anant asking her to call him in the evening...she didn't have the gaping mouth open expression there atleast.


2) My fav. bit in this epi...the Ranbir-Anant scene...suchhh a sweet and simple scene...what really touched me especially was the detail they added of Ranbir putting all those check marks across that game when Anant would put down a cross...such nice metaphoric detailing...showing that Ranbir is there as a friend for him to solve all his problems...very nicely conceived idea and wonderfully executed as well👏👏...Ranbir IMO especially stole the epi today for his mature handling of the situation from all ends...first calming down Ritz as she was in shock too and then later on this talk with Anant...first trying to cheer him up by distracting him...and then simply just letting him know that he's there for him...anytime he wants to talk...and Anant understanding that...the gratefulness in his eyes and the way he thanks him there was very nicely done too.


3) Daadi fawning over Navya and telling her she'll put oil in her head to take away the headache...awww Daadi...Makes me miss my own nani/daadi...grandmas are such😊


Appy is obviously upset that Navya hid something so huge from them...I guess the Appy-Navya fight is coming up soon...Precap looks interesting...Navya seems to have gathered herself a bit and her voice sounded stronger too...the convo also sounded so AN-like...I somehow just always like their phone convos...intrigued to see how this goes tomorrow...I guess everyone can guess Navya's decision anyways...hope they move forward on the Renuka track soon too.

Shaheer is usually better than her in general...I'm not saying she was not as good as him today...but HONESTLY that was not good acting...her expressions were really odd, sorry to say. Shaheer was very good in that entire scene though...all of Anant's feelings were very well expressed by him.

I hope Soumya does better tomorrow. This entire crying aspect doesn't seem like something she is much comfortable with and finds hard to pull off I'd say.

The Ranbir-Anant scene was the most genuine one in this epi and really touched my heart too...

I lov this show so do not get me wrong. have watched each episode atleast 3 times. I did not like Soumya's expression today. There was nothing other than crying. I found ti was fake and not good acting. I know todays epi was intense but some emotions would have been nice, not just the open mouthed crying look. 😭

Nice post. Agree with you on Soumya's acting. Director saab, pls. send your lead for some lessons.

u are so right--navyas open mouth expression was so blunt n vague--it was barely tolerable..but i guess thats how the director wanted it...
and yeah ranbir just completed the episode perfectly-his dialouges so well put<and ritz change of expression-so well timed n put..
and the acknowledgmnt smile that anant gave to ranbir...brought back the silver lining..for me

😊 hi anu ...ur post..the dessert!!! 😉 loved yesdays episode but as u say...me too felt that soumya is a litlle stiff when it comes to the sad scenes...n the cvs drag these very scenes!!! the rest of its was awesome...ranbir's unsaid words to ananth, appys silence, ritz-ranbir handling navi n the best...dadi n navi...awesome!! she is a gem of a daadi...the way she spoke to the gals, looked like a scene out of any teenager's home...

You are simply awesome, I keep waiting for this 'things I like' segment on the forum , its like someone already said ' a nice dessert after a wonderful meal'

Plus this serial is fast paced , in 44 episodes so many things have happened, for a newcomer it takes some time to develop acting skill for different situations. I am positive that Soumya will surely improve form here.I love her acting in all happy moments , only thing may be emotionally sad moments are little tough for her.

what most of us would have expected to happen if this was real life and not a fiction. Very well written dialogues and very much needed dialogues. we know they had never shown any introspection form Anant's side , he talking to himself. But, this episode cleared that cloud . He spoke out what in other serial they would have just shown him thinking. Very different approach and a wonderful one too. And i have to add this about Shaheers acting- He is doing a simply superb job.The way he delivered those diaglogues and the expressions I could image some of my friends in college who were in pain in love and used to talk to us about what they were going through. I kept on getting flashbacks . Anant is surely not like the other soap heroes who have that funda 'mard ko dard nahi hota" . He is so human, normal , vulnerable and identifiable.hats off again to Shaheer for the wonderful moments 👏 (had said this for yesterday also and would say it today too).
