I'm back!
Here are a few thoughts
a few epis i missed and after watching, here is what i think
1. i loved how maan's char has become normal again- maan is maan. GOOD
2. Mama-adi- awesome! Lucky-mama-adi-would be awesome too! together or separate.
3. the above characters are ENOUGH right now for comic relief
4. I doubt the protagonist, Geet, if u have forgotten, needs to be shown as thinking and talking with a comic background given to her. She is an intelligent woman, who can THINK as we have seen in the past. So, Please, can we have our geet back? Never do i want her to be sad, but seriousness and serious contemplation has been an important part of her character- i don't see that anywhere- hope it can be remedied because honestly, while i LOVE MAAN, I also LOVE Geet and if maan and geet are not maan and geet - there's really no long-lasting maneet effect produced. In scenes where she's thinking of why maan came etc, she needs to be shown a bit serious- at least as serious as maan.

Things I liked
1. Maan's elegant posture while talking to lucky..with crossed legs.. awesome..he looked really good there
2. Maan's chin on the rope ..adorable
3. the precap posture of maneet
4. maan's dialogues
5. nandu's characterization is realistic. Naive, yet mature enough to find reassurances in signs.
6. mama's sharmili addayein and Barry's dialogues in the scene!
Things i didn't like
1. sob sob- the best actress on indian telly not given the best scenes to act on. had no idea that the job of a protagonist is to just stand, sit, sneeze, push away her husband, act silly and also not play any part at all in the track.
2. Geet has become a show piece in the show- why?
She's either maan's OBJECT of admiration; OR an agent through which beeji shows her frustration towards maan OR a mode of showing jarring scenes that make very little sense
3. DD is a brilliant actress. Please give her a role where she can ACT. There was a dissonance between the dialogues, the expressions and the gestures today .Is all concentration given to Maan so that Geet and other characters become mere caricatures?
4. do not over do lucky-mama
5. I thought the track was about maneet winning the gharwaalas' hearts. Here, maan is working, geet is doing nautanki and basically is relegated to doing the house work and complaining to her hubby.
6. THe background tunes behind her dialogues, behind maneet is always a funny tune. They need to have a new tune of conversation .Coz, their dialogues are NOT funny and the intention is also not funny so it actually causes a belittling of whatever they talk about.
Maan and Geet - the charm is MAneet- the GEET that was admired and got TRP's was the strong Geet of Delhi track- who had principles and who really stuck to them; who was eager to learn; who admired maan, and later fell in love and yet never lost sight of herself.
This geet seems to walk around the house, doing work, which she doesn't even need to do, instead of making plans with maan about how to get the work done and go back home.
instead, maan is pushed away, -again a difference between being coy and keeping the guy you love at an arm's distance..
in short, we WANT OUR GEET BACK! Only then can MAneet work together!
pleas please give us back GEET- the protagonist who maan fell in love with and so did the viewers; the protagonist who made us see the effect of her love, her beauty and her grace on maan and made us fall further in love with maan's character, that grew because of her and her love.
All that said- I'm not being presumptuous and saying I know better than the team- merely giving viewer feedback which I have a right to do and a right to be heard too- as an active trp giver for the channel.
