The lucknow episode was better than the mumbai one. Piyush made for a peppy light beginning. His high notes and tonal clarity was decent, but low notes were not at all audible. Somewhere he needs polish, and he should be fine.
But did anyone notice that he has some traits similar to pritam (style of singing) and adnan sami (high note voice similarity)?
He should make for a decent package, if not a good one.

Yeah, Lucknow, being an abode of music talent, especially in qawwali, was eons better than Mumbai.

I think he even looked somewhat like Pritam😆 I agree with the Pritam part, but I don't see the Adnan Sami bit. Adnan Sami has a nasal twang combined with his unique characteristic when going high. Yeah, he was OK, definitely worthy of going past the auditions, but let's see what he does now. My money's on Amit, Eric and that hyderabadi girl yesterday though

I liked today's singers better too. Piyush was good.

I am more excited for Kolkatta though. 😍

i so agree with you , yesterday eps was better than mumbai one ,why i feel as we did not get to listen good singing from there but lucknow made me happy , opening of yesterday eps was captivating .

about piyush , yeah he loooks 100 percent like pritam and style of his talking is just siimilar to him and voice too good.. he made me happy when sonu asked him what do u do???? kuch jyada nahi in 12 class...

oh adnan sami for SURE.. thats exactly what me and my dad said when we first heard him.. im looking forward to hearing him but that neck tattoo is gonna distract me 😔
