I just learnt that you are Tamilian from Buffie's questions. And since you have your hands full with so many, I will ask you just one. Don't Tamilian girls choose their own groom? (My roomie is a Tamilian and she says that she can't choose for herself) And that confuses me so much.

thats absol;utely not true.....many people have the misconception that tamilians are conservative but its not true ,they are equally broadminded ......see there are so many tamilians living all over the owrld and in all the states in india ...mumbai,bangalore,hyderabad.........are they all conservative .ask them

anyway even in madras ......the epople are not conservative but infact very broadminded.........many people get this impression looking at the attire they wear ....the women clad in sarees and salwars and stuff but believe me .....the pic that they have and the reality is different

as far as cant chose ur groom is concerned,thats not true........maybe it depends on their family,.Maybe in their family,thats how they do the marriage but it certainly does not apply to all families .

my marriage was done asking my opinion and also the grooms and its just lke any arranged marriage .....
