Carving Ways
Nupur ran in quickly seeing him, locked the door and fell on her bed, hugging her pillow tight to herself. "This is not fair God", she complained, but she forgot that God is always fair, and soon she got a proof of it.

Sunrays disturbed mayank as he gained his senses, realizing he was sleeping on the chair of the balcony, rubbing his eyes and remembering the events of last night, he glanced at the balcony opposite and smiled contently. It was early dawn. The traces of last night's rain were still there on the road, giving a fresh and clear view to everything, just like his mind. He came inside, and headed for a bath. Dressing himself in a pair of denims and a white shirt, he looked at the mirror for final approvals. He arranged all his manuals and went to the balcony again. It was nearly 6 in the morning. He had seen her sleeping her early, but today he had a wish of seeing her wake up. He knew she won't come out on the balcony, but the silent confession he did with himself, was making him crazy to see her.
Slowly the sunlight was all around, mayank was calmly going through his manuals. He was feeling at peace, after finally knowing what his heart had in it and also what he was going to do.
Time was passing when at almost 8, he left his balcony , looking at her window once again.
He came down stairs, surprising his mom and gunjan, on waking up early and all dressed up, "kia baat hai bhai, you are literally shining today", gunjan teased him and he just smiled. He was so over whelmed at the thought of being in love that his mind was not regestring anything else than the ways he was thinking about meeting her.
"gunjan, tumhare di ko kal koi dekhne aya than na..kia hua?', he asked slowly, this was a hurlde but he knew how to come it over,
"naam mat lo us idiot ka bhai!, can u imagine, us ne raat k 3 baje di k ghr pe phone kar k kaha k usey shaadi nahi karni!",
Mayank closed his eyes to make a silent thank you prayer. He nevr thought it would be so easy.
"koi baat hui yeh!, idiot!, subha bhi tu bata sakta tha..fool!, he can just go to hell..my di will get a 1000000 times better husband than that moron!"
"I have no doubt", mayank mumbled while gunjan was still busy abusing samrat, "stupid!, ye koi tareqqa hua, what the hell does he think of himself..wo..
"ok fine gunjan, relax! kaisi hai tumhari di..i mean rejection..", he asked plainly mixing sugar in his coffee,
"di!", suddenly her expressions turned relax, "pata nahi bhai..it's strange but.."
"what?"
"she is happy!",
Mayank raised his eyes with a smile, "really?', his smile widened while gunjan was shocked at his reaction, "mera mtlb really?, I mean tum toh kehti thi k bohat sensitive.."
"wohi tu bhai, main ne subha uth k phone kiya toh she was like ,gunjan us ne mana kar diya, and can u imagine she was controlling her giggle", gunjan was speaking , and the amazement was evident,
"gunjan shaiyed us ko koi aur psnd ho..', he slowly said, sipping coffee
"arey nahi bhai, koi hota tu mujhe zaroor batati", she confidently said..
"hmmm, per gunjan I guess tumhain apni di ko kahin bahir le k jana chiaye ..rejection is serious, lunch pe le jao usey, she will feel good", he said, smirking inside ,and grabbed his books and went away, leaving gunjan in a havoc with his suggestion

"dadi pleaseee.."..
Gunjan was making every effort to make her agree , 'please dadi, ap ko nahi lagta serious baat hai, mtllb rejection se di hurt hui hogi, hum lunch se wapsi a jayen gey..jaldi..please.."
Gunjan was constantly rambling but dadi was not paying attention, "dadi di itna chup rehti hai, kabhi kuch nahi bolti, itna thora tu right hai us ka k wo thora enjoy kar le, ap ko pata hai k wo mujhe ap se kabhi kuch pochne nahi deti, is liye aj main ne usey nahi bataya, please dadi, jane do na..please.."
Dadi looked at gunjan, and noticed tiny tears forming in her eyes, "please dadi!, I request, ap ko di ki fiqr nai hota k wo itni chup rehti hai..", her voice broke and she started crying softly,
"bohat pyaar karti ho apni di se na?", dadi kissed her forehead and stroked her hair while gunjan just nodded, "thek hai jao, lekin jaldi wapis ana hai!",she made sure while gunjan hugged dadi, "thank u dadi"

"mujhe nai jana gunjan", nupur stiffly said, as gunjan was busy scrutinizing her wardrobe, "tum se kis ne pocha di?", she picked out a light green churidaar, "ye thek hai"
"gunjan dekho..
"di tum dekho..main koi bahaana nahi sune wali, pagal ho tum?, akhri baar kab ghar se bahir gayi thi?, yaad hai?"
'gunjan mera dil nahi karta..
"nahi karta tu na kare, I don't care, tyaar ho jao, hum ja rahe hain, dadi bhi maan gayi hain..jaldi karo, main ghar pe tyaar hone ja rahi hin, tum 5 minute main tyaar ho k bahir a jao"
"gunjan..
"di tumhain meri kasam, I can't tolerate ur imprisonment 24*7, please"
Gunjan pleaded while nupur noticed traces of tears in her eyes, "acha thek hai", she softly patted her cheek, "thank u di!,"

Nupur dressed herself in the lime green churidaar, brushed her hair and applied soft make 'up, just a gloss and applied black eye-pencil, and looking herself in the mirror, she came out of her room.
She headed to her dadi's room, and knocked,"dadi wo..
"jao beta, ", her dadi smiled and kissed her forehead.

Nervously holding her duppatta, she opened the gate, and stepped out.
Last night, it rained, she could feel the chill in the wind, and with this remebred that eye-lock. It made her heart skip a beat. She was happy with the rejection, but this was just temporary she thought. If not this than some other will say a yes to her, but that was far. She wanted to feel some relief this moment. She couldn't change what next was in store for her.
She was feeling a bit shy and awkward, but it was going with gunjan so somewhat it was ok.
The car was standing by road, she took a few steps when she noticed someone else standing by the car..MAYANK!!.
Her feet stopped and her eyes widened. Mayank turned and saw nupur, and smiled fully. Nupur thought it was a dream. He was looking at nupur constantly and smiling.. while nupur was just standing there still, lost in his smile..she was sure her heart would stop beating..
Pyar se aisey na hamien dekho..k kahein na hum mar jayen..
Jadoo nazron se na chalao..is tarah se na muskurao.
