Ranbir Kapoor love's Anushka Sharma? Bollywood's serial-Romeo Ranbir Kapoor seems to have found a new 'interest' in his life. Ever since he met Band Baaja Baarat girl Anushka Sharma at a party hosted by Karan Johar last month, the two have been getting closer.

Ranbir, who has been linked with Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Nargis Fakhri - in that order - in the past, has been seen with Anushka more than once recently. Tongues were set wagging when last week Ranbir and Anushka were spotted having dinner along with friends at an uptown Mumbai joint.

"Anushka's 'close friend' Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapur were also present at the dinner but she seemed more interested in Ranbir all along. After dinner, Ranbir insisted on sitting next to Anushka in the car on their way back home, although Shahid was there in the same car," a source, present at the venue, said.

Reports now suggest Ranbir is keen to have Anushka as his heroine in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming film. So far, the buzz doing the rounds suggested that Ayan was all set to reunite Ranbir with his ex-flame Deepika in the film. Over the past fortnight, reports have been doing the rounds that Ranbir and Anushka might be cast together in an upcoming Yash Raj project as well.

"Ranbir is very impressed with Anushka's performance in Band Baaja Baarat. He certainly wants to do some films with her," the source said. However, industry insiders say their bond seems more than just professional, now. Ranbir, who has a knack for girlfriend-hopping if industry buzz is anything to go by, certainly looks interested in Anushka for now.

On her part, Anushka had said on Johar's talk show that Ranbir is one actor she would love to date. "After his break-up with Katrina, Ranbir has been a free bird. There is no harm if he starts seeing Anushka," an industry insider said. At Johar's party in February, Ranbir and Anushka raised eyebrows by getting cosy with each other despite the presence of Katrina, the last actress Ranbir was openly dating.

Anushka's Band Baaja Baarat - costar Ranveer, to whom she has been linked in the recent past, was also present at the party. Incidentally, Anushka hosted a party soon after meeting Ranbir at Johar's do where she naturally invited the Kapoor boy. Many feel the party was planned by her solely keeping Ranbir in mind.

Anushka's growing equation with Ranbir also gained speculative ground when Ranveer recently announced: "As far as Anushka's friendship with Ranbir is concerned, I feel it's good that she is friends with Ranbir and Shahid. I do not have any problem with it. Anushka is my good friend and she has her own set of friends." Ranbir's name has been linked with Anushka ever since he broke up with Katrina some time ago. Katrina had, reportedly, demanded commitment from Ranbir in the wake of rumours that he was seeing his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri. Ranbir, however, reportedly made it clear it was too early in life for him to commit to a relationship.
