PREITY ZINTA bani gangster - Comeback, right?

Her numerous appearances in the sports section of every newspaper, thanks to IPL and a recent television show have finally paid off. Preity Zinta will finally get to be on the silver screen with Tigmanshu Dhulia's next.

The film, which is tentatively titled Jai Ramji, will feature Preity in a never-seen-before role. Guess what, she will be playing the role of a gangster!

Director Tigmanshu Dhulia who shot to fame with the 2003 hit Haasil, confirmed, saying, "Preity Zinta liked the script and has agreed to work in the film.

However, I have not yet formally signed her, as she is busy with IPL and is not in Mumbai. The formalities should be completed once she is back in the city."

Talking about the film, Dhulia says, "It is a gangster movie, set in eastern UP. Preity will be a part of the gang. The rest of the cast includes, Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan and Randeep Hooda.

The film is going on floors in July and should be complete by December-January.

And we hope to release the film soon after that". Dhulia himself has written the film and will be co-producing it with Panchali Chakraborty.

Considering her daredevil avatar in the recent TV series, it will be really interesting to see the dimpled actress leave behind the lovey-dovey self and step into the shoes of an unconventional character.
