Ok guys, I had some free time at hand today, so sat down and collected all the LTL TAM ratings for the year 2011, and made a REPORT (on Excel sheet) on LTL's TRPs, Channel position, Overall positions for the year 2011, and the co-relation between TRPs and Dutta/MR/Tasha. According to me, the 2 main reasons as to why LTL2 is not working is :-

1) Obviously, exit of Dutta Bhao / MR.
2) Total destruction of the most soulful lovestory ever told in the history of Indian TV - Tasha Love Story (after a story being told so beautifully, how can any one see Nakku fall for ANYONE other than her "saab"?!)

The following report is going to show how OBVIOUS the USP of the show is, and how variations in the same is reflected in fluctuations in TRPs.

So from the above, its quite evident that the TWO times Dutta/MR went missing from the show (1st two weeks of January, and after March 28th), there was a considerable fall in TRPs as well!


I have also sent a copy of these reports to all the concerned people (PH & Colors)



Belief system of Colors - "Everyone is replacable", "MR's exit wont have any impact on the TRPs", "Show must go on", etc.

But now the verdict is out, and its time for a change in belief systems! This should be a lesson to every channel and PH that "Customer IS the KING!" At the end of the day, its we audiences who matter, and its we who MAKE or BREAK your financial gains and positions. By displeasing us and resorting to some kind of power game, will NOT work in THIS industry!! Please understand that not every sector of Indian audience will buy crap! Only we know the reason as to why we PREFER a certain show. If majority agrees to that reason, then what right does the channel have to pull out that reason and still expect the audiences to continue watching?! They can do so very well, but at the end of the day, understand that WE pull the strings!
So eventually we few hundreds DID make a difference, huh 😉!

Anyways, I have sent this report to everyone concerned (i.e., if they STILL havent analysed/understood the current scenario, and WHAT needs to be done to get the show back in control). Maybe similarly, they can try and analyse other shows of Colors handled by people like PS, and the "real problem" might just be under their nose! I hope ATLEAST NOW they reconsider their strategies and belief systems, and LOGICALLY try to see something that is SOO obvious :- LTL = MR/Dutta/Tasha. Hopefully, they will take an appropriate action before it is too late. I dont have the contact details of the new CEO, so incase anyone gets hold of it, please pass it on so that I can send this across to him as well.

Heartfelt appreciation,Appu for putting in so much effort to make an emphatic point about what Mishal means to LTL & Colors. 👏 Strange the Channel didn't see it coming.😕 Hope better sense prevails atleast now.

I am not sure the Heads at Colors are aware , they took a gamble by introducing a new character which didn;t meet expectations of crores of people out there..
from 5 to 1.95 in 3 weeks is fast dip , too fast a dip .. wake up colors no wonder they have PR bringing in .. SBS/ TB and other articles ,,in a gap of 2days
