Krishnaben completes 100 episodes

Naturally the cast, crew and producer Asit Kumarr Modi are one happy lot. "I am really thrilled. This is a social serial without much glamour. It is the story of a 40 year old woman and her uphill struggle to settle her family. Getting the eyeballs was a challenge, but I know that we have fared decently. We are able to connect with the audience because they can empathize with us," comments Indira Krishnan.

Then she goes on to add with a laugh, "I am a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar. After completing my century of episodes on television, I feel as if I too have become like Sachin." Indira Krishnan has made some 10 thousand Khakhras during these 100 episodes and she is quite proud of her accomplishment. In fact she is now planning to open her own real Khakhra factory. Adds Asit Kumarr Modi, "post 100 episodes viewers will see a different Krishnaben and another level of krishnagiri from her."

Krishnaben Kahkhrawala telecasts every Monday to Friday at 8 PM on Sony TV.
