Hi, for me the disturbing part isn't the fact that gulaal mothered him. It comes from during her pagphera rasam as a newlywed when paanba commented that on gulaal's coming kesar had gained an second mother, she replied 'that yes this is what I will be to kesar, from today all your responsibilities' towards him are mine'. (I'll double check on YouTube but I'm certain that's pretty much what she said word for word)
And again after the deervattyu dai-ba told an upset paanba that the best way to deal with the current situation was to see gulaal 'as the wife of vasant, who was now the second mother of kesar' (Ditto again for checking on YouTube).
I find it hard to understand that when she's built up by the Cvs to be shown as not only being viewed by other characters as an second mother, but actually wanting to be one herself, how they can show her now/later wanting to be romantic with kesar.
I think if they wanted to show a romantic relation between them at a later stage, they should have shown her earlier denying responsibility over him as a mother. It could have been done, by her laughing and saying 'no paanba I'm too young to be mother yet' or 'paanba tum be naa, I've just got married and you've already made me a mother!'

Overall I agree with people when they say that Cvs are either waiting to see how the audience reacts to kesar/gulaal jodi, or what the trps are like.

If there's a negative response or low trps they will bring vasant back. If there's a good response and high trps then, the above quotes I've mentioned would probably just be put down to blooper mistakes. Well that's what I think.

Guess we'll have to wait and see...

Hi, the part where gulaal and paanba talk has been cut off on its YouTube link! I'll see if I can get it from the forum archives.
But here's the link of paanba talking to dai-ba where it clearly says that paanba has always said and thought of gulaal as a second mother (you might have to copy and paste). If you watch the whole link you also realize that she thinks of kesar as her and vasants 'sapna'. Agreed that isn't necessarily a parental statement, but still parents normally call their kids there 'dreams' (of course that's only when we behave, otherwise were their nightmares!)

Also, during the deervattyu again even though she's just 'married' kesar she calls him her and her husbands i.e vasants 'sapna'

Why cant a woman marry a younger guy? I dont get this mind set. I find more disturbing is when a 40 somthing man marries a girl who is 20.
