The nature was looking like a new shyest bride ever. The muddy path was slightly wet. The greenery around... was looking more bright and dark in that wetness and was shaking its head happily , and was dancing with the softly blowing breeze around.
Dev was feeling the freshness inside, his eyes were not satisfied enough to take that picture of nature away, his hands were resting inside those jeans side pockets. He just smiled passively at the strange villagers who passed the couple with a smile on their lips...
They walked over few stones, and as they found a nice area, he stopped
"let's sit here for sometime Radhika'
She looked at his face once and just nodded her head. Holding onto his hand strong, she sat safely over a stone. Folding the helm of his jeans up to his calf level, he sat next to her with hanging his feet into that flowing water. He tried to lift those coldness with his feet, the memories just flashed in his mind, seeing her playing in it... He cornered his eyes on her and found it staring at his wet feet.
He moved more closer to her, and wrapped his left arm around her shoulder. A current passed thru her and her lips parted to exhale those heaviness out, and she felt a shiver like a new bride under his hold.
"Radhika, you know, what these flowing water telling me? he looked at her one and with a smile he continued : they are saying, your Radhika looks very beautiful, just like a new bride, in this beautiful red color saree, but, we were waiting impatiently to feel her feet, we were waiting to hear her payal sound, we were waiting impatiently to see that sparkly smile on her face, and we were waiting for to see those dreamy eyes. and now we know she is not seeing us because you are near her"
Suddenly Radhika raised her head and looked at his face. Dev smiled looking at her and he continued...
Radhika with a smiley face, gazed down and then slowly turning little, she brought her legs down, slightly picking on that soft red material, she brought the helm of the saree slightly up. The silvery payal shined as they got exposed to the bright sun, and her heart went fluttery seeing her own fair skin, and her lips parted slightly as it felt the wetness under the sole and slowly her feet immersed into those flowing splashy water....
Dev felt the happiest, seeing her feeling it again, with that tucked smile on her lips corner. He gulped seeing the beauty of her as the flowing water brought a glow to her face with its reflection. She tried to secure those soft chiffon material between her leg from getting wet. Slowly his right hand moved down and held her right hand. He felt the shivering as he took her soft palm in his...
Dev continued...:
"Radhika, when I sit here, like this , near to you, I feel like I am fulfilling all those moment, where you spend that time sitting same way thinking about me, dreaming about me, trying to draw my picture inside you, I feel like I am the luckiest man in the whole world, ....... who can imagine a picture of a beautiful girl running around, with that shy smile on her lips. This is our true moment, and in this moment, I just want to think of you, just want to live this moment with you, and maybe this moment will bring another shy smile on my face later. After a pause : can you tell me what this nature is telling to you now?
Radhika slowly rested her head near his chest, and pressing her ears next to his heart, her lips moved and the words came out naturally.....
"the nature around may be beautiful, the flowing water may be saying something, may be the breeze just circled around us trying to tease me, and maybe the wiggling leaves are calling me out to look at them, the beautiful birdies are singing high and flying high above us, but I am unable to see that teasing, I am failing to feel the coldness of this water, and I can't hear any of those beautiful songs..
Dev listened to her words, forgot to breath for a second, and his heart skipped few beat and he felt her left arm coming and resting over his chest. He smiled, very sweetly.
" if this nature is stranger for you because of my presence, then I can set you free, because I want you to dream again and enjoy the beauty of this nature"
Radhika turning her face, more towards his chest and her lips almost touching his heart, said :"ha, you can set me free, but then my heart may stop beating"
Dev in trance: How can your heart stop beating, when mine is beating just for you and just for you to hear it
Radhika, moved her hand that he was holding and he let it free, bringing that up, adjusting self , she slide that around his back and then holding him in her half embrace
"ha, and at this moment, I want to be selfish, I want you to hold only me, and I want you to feel only me, and I want you to hear only me,'
Dev with a tease smile: and if somebody see us like this?
Radhika: Let the nature witness, let the flowing water say it out secretly, let the passing breeze tease me more, let the leaves giggle more to catch our attention, I don't feel any shy anymore, at this moment, I want my heart to beat within you, and I want to feel your breath near my neck.
Suddenly he wrapped his right arm around her and brought her more closer, feeling her more closer.: "your words are making my lips thirsty, the flowing water that is at a reach of my extended hand won't be able to satisfy my thirst, then how can I continue my words'
Radhika's heart skipped few beat, with that fluttery heart, slowly releasing her arms, she lifted her face up, and looked at him,....... he saw her thirsting droopy dreamy eyelids, pleading him to take it, what he wants.... to satisfy the thirst of his lips. He just looked at those sparkling eyes, which he longed to see, he moved his face little closer with an expectation that those lids may close now and hide those sparkles. But to his surprise and more for his happiness, she kept them open, for her to see the satisfaction in his eyes.
The feet rested, the breeze froze, and the leaves stood still, the nature closed its eyes feeling shy. The heart was pounding hard, unable to make out who was more thirsty , is it him or her ......! the feathery white clouds forgot to float away. The time passed at its pace and but the nature stood still. ....with the passing time , the breeze try to found its place in between their lips, as Dev rested his face near hers and she gulped slightly seeing his satisfied resting lips.
He looked at those dreamy eyes, and his hand unknowingly stroked on her pinkish cheek. looking deep into her eyes, his lips mumbled: you satisfied my thirst for now Radhika, but why didn't I see the thirst of your lips earlier.
Radhika with a wet throat: you did see it, but I ignored my thirst, and tried to hide it from myself.
His soft secretly words mumbled: even if you try to hide it away from yourself, now I know how to find it out. After a pause he asked: now can you feel the wetness on your feet.
She just lowered her face and loosening her arms around him, she looked down , and then resting her head on his side , she lifted up those wetness with her feet and she slowly raised the water drops and the water started rolling down wetting her lower leg. She repeated the same as his eyes watched her fair leg, which was playing in that cold water, but her ears were listening to his heartbeat, her hands were clinging to him, she saw his eyes on her feet, so she preferred to continue that act to see that smile on his face, to sooth his eyes wish...
Dev: Now I am feeling jealous Radhika!
Radhika: me too
Dev: kyum?
Radhika: becasue those rolling drops are taking your attention away from me.
Radhika: for me, the payal is just your fingers, I can only feel that fingers that touched my skin as you secured it around my ankle.
Dev: I think today the nature is only ours
Dev: wherever I am looking I can see only the nature, I can't see any one else around us, kyum?
Radhika just nodded her head conveying she doesn't know.
Dev: I know, because the nature knows, their Radhika is coming with the most loveliest heart today for her Dev, that they don't want anybody else to interfere with her wish, you told me one day that you communicate with them , so maybe now the nature can see what you want and it is listening to your heart.
Radhika with a smile: My mind is blank, I am not dreaming anything, if my mind is flying with joy, then I know it is because you are near me.
The green grass was at its fullest darkness, and the flower heads were swinging badly as their head was held high above that lengthy leaves. The white and pink flowers along with the yellow bunches were smiling again seeing the couples walking near them. He was holding her shoulder closer and she was trying to walk more closer to him, trying to close that space as much as possible. They stood at the high, loosening his hold on her shoulder, he slightly moved away, and his eyes were capturing the beauty of nature, and slowly it fell on her.
Her hair was clipped at the back and the rest of it was left open, and the end of which was blowing softly onto the side with the wind, and the deep neck work on her blouse clearly exposed her fair skin. Her saree pallu was blowing in a wavy fashion along with the force of wind. He saw the beauty of nature, merging in her,.... he forgot himself for few minutes. Unable to hold back the distance , he came near her, and stood right behind.
Radhika as if feeling his closeness, waited for him to come more closer to her, and she took a deep breath as his arms slide around her waist line to the front and his body touched her back.
Dev in that secrety tone : "I am feeling jealous again'
Radhika waited for him to continue. Placing a soft kiss over the bare skin of her upper shoulder, he mumbled near her ear, looking straight on her path of vision : the wind , that is circling around you, blowing your hair with it, touching each strand of it along, and making your skin cold, it is only my hak, and he is stealing it from me.
Radhika in her soft voice: but I can only feel the breath that is falling on my shoulder skin, which is warming my heart, ..... and my hair , maybe each those strands are trying to reach you, as you moved away. Her arms went and rested on his arms that was around her waist line. I am not feeling the cold, and your presence making my heart to go fluttery....
Dev: at this moment you are just my lover Radhika
Dev: I wish this moment to stay still for us for ever.
Radhika: no I want this moment to pass and I want to live in it, with you.
Time passed by, the dark shade of the clouds went deeper and slowly slowly few drops started falling down. It did brought them back to reality. Radhika loosened her grip on his arms as he looked up at the cloudy sky. He then looked at her, and as if seeing and reading each others eyes, they looked at those woods. Dev held her hand and moved towards the dark woods.
Radhika was standing under a big tree with full of leaves, where the thick veins and large leaves on it gave good shade from that dripping drops. The red saree was sticking to her body from that windy sprinkles and she was squeezing hard on that pallu to get it dry.
Dev brushed on his hair with his right hand and asked Radhika in a concerned voice : hope no one will be worried about you.
Radhika looking at him: they won't , because you are with me.
Dev just looked back at her, wiping his face off.
Radhika noticing his wet hair: your hair is all wet coming near , she lifted herself on her toes and she tried to dry his hair with her pallu.
Dev: it's ok Radhika, it is you who is really wet.
Radhika: I am fine , saying that she continued her act , as the material was not absorbing the wetness well. I got used to all this, you are the one who may end up sick, and all will scold me for that. They will think I am the one who forced you to walk around here.
Dev : they know it is me who asked you to come for this walk, then...?
Radhika was stretching hard to reach his heaight unknowingly, Dev held her stretched flank area to support her waiting for her answer , and Radhika continued on her talk : ha, it is you said, but I am glad babuji is not at home, or I am sure I will get the scolding for getting you all wet.
His eyes were lingering over her wet body, she heard the lightening up in the sky as it passed down to the earth. For a fraction of second she thought it just went through her, and unknowingly her body felt weak and heels dropped down to touch the ground. She tried to hold onto that pallu just for own comfort. She felt that vacuum inside, her breathing was going heavy along with her raising chest, she heard her pounding heart.
she heard the soft sound of Dev, with the most passionate voice :"Radhika I am feeling jealous"
Suddenly she turned herself facing away from him, as his hands went lose on holding her.
She ached for that touch , and her lips was holding her smile within, ..... she brought her hand up to hold her pounding heart, requesting to be silent and she held her breath to hear him clear...
Closing her eyes , she just mumbled softly: I wish I could do that for you"
Her soft mumbling reached his ears and soon he found himself taking her in his arms, and she just hugged him instantly.
In his embrace , pressing her cheek on his chest she mumbled.... "at this moment I want my heart to beat loud so that you can hear it loud, I want my breath to fall on your skin so that you can feel my warmth, and for this moment I want to be that peacock and shake my long beautiful feather and do that small steps, to please the rain God so that He can pour this large drops to wet me forever ..... so that I can stay under your embrace forever, listening to your heart beats and feeling the warmth of your skin"
He tightened his arms around her more closer , and his hands just stroked over her bare skin on the back; said: Radhika, you are gone mad in my love
Radhika: ha , but for this moment I want to be mad, mad in loving you.
Dev: Now I think I am holding that Radhika who was dreaming about me years back
Radhika with a smile, near his ears for him to hear : you are not holding that Radhika who was knowing only to dream and living in that dream, you are holding this Radhika, who is not dreaming anymore and who knows what she really wants, and who is trying to understand what your words are really trying to tell me. That Radhika was loving you so much, but this Radhika is trying to know what you are....
'but this Radhika is seeing only Dev, who is holding her in his arms, who is hearing only his heartbeats, who is feeling only his warm breath, whose heart is fluttering just being near to him, who was like a weak vein but now gaining the strength to hold on tight by sticking to the trunk of her love, and without that strength she won't be able to live now.
Dev holding her more tight, and the passionate voice : maybe those feathery clouds floated above me, but I am seeing them now,...... maybe the wind circled around me with the scent, but I am feeling it now,....... maybe the chirpy birds tried to reach my ears, but I am hearing them now, maybe the peacock tried to grab my attention, but I am feeling the pleasure seeing them now, .......may be the flowery head smiled many times waving its head holding high, but I am seeing it now, ........maybe the leaves wiggled near me but I am feeling the ticklish now,
Dev and Radhika was sticking to each other , closing their eyes, and was feeling each other, taking every word in, listening to each beat of their heart, and feeling the warmth of their breath.
Time was ticking by and the dark clouds floated away , giving way to the brightest sun.
Dev continued in his trance: Radhika , I am so happy today.... to feel my love in the middle of this nature, I am loving this moment where my Radhika is only talking about me, I will cherish this moment forever where my Radhika is clinging to me , and wants only me...
Radhika continued as if taking it over from him: ha, this moment where I am trying to learn the real words behind those voice and where I am realizing my own silence. A feeling that words cannot replace, and only be felt by us.
Dev: When I saw the sparkle of love in your eyes for me the first time , I thought that is love and may be at that time my mind unknowingly starved to see it and thought earth is the limit as I was still standing on the ground, and thought we are two bodies but one mind;
...and when I felt you first time in my arms where we became one body and one soul, I thought this is the highest of our relationship, where I was flying high in your love, I thought the sky is the limit and I reached there...
