The dream sequence and thereafter:
Geet was sitting on the window alone in her thoughts of the one man who has such a complete hold of her life. She admits to herself something strange is happening around her. The arrival of the new driver has sent her mind in turmoil. She senses Maan's presence every time the driver is in the vicinity. Could it be that Maan has sent his man to her house like how he sent Adi? her heart wonders. Note she thinks Maan has sent his man and does not suspect that the man in question is Maan himself. Her mind however, negates this thought saying that Adi could have come on his own. There is no way she can be sure Maan had sent him to her place.
At that precise moment when she was doubting if Maan was really keen to get her back or not by sending his men, Maan himself makes an entry into the house and stealthily finds his way in. He finds a ladder and straightening it up against a wall he climbs up. Luckily for him the direction in which he placed the ladder was the right one. He managed to get a darshan of the queen of his hearts, while remaining hidden. He could see her but she could not see him much like their current position. She is not aware of the trauma he too went through after the MC but he well understands her feelings. His feelings still remain hidden while hers were more open for him to view.
Geet then closes her eyes and asks her babaji why is that she cannot forgive her man nor forget him. In the corner of her heart she knows what she is doing is not right. That is why she asks God's help. Forgiveness requires God's special grace. As a human she is faltering. So she seeks divine intervention. At that moment she feels Maan's hand on the side of her head, asking her if she cannot forget her Maan why was she keeping herself from him. She opens her eyes and looks at him. She does not look as shocked as she should be, considering that she wasn't aware he was in her house. At best she only looks mildly surprised. She calls out his name and he repeats that yes, he is her Maan.
Maan looks at her lovingly and states the fact that both of them know how much she loves him. He then repeats the question as to why then is there this distance between them. He asks her why was she doing all this? She moves away and says that she can never forgive him for her brought a lot of pain to her heart. He asks her back does her heart not love him. The unspoken question is, if she loves him, wasn't she inflicting more pain on herself by keeping him from her. He tries to confirm this by repeating the question a little more forcefully, pulling her to him. She says no, looking directly into his eyes but lowers her eyes when she continues that she does not love him. She could never lie to him while looking directly at him, whether in reality or in dream.
She tries to get away before she looses control and admits that she really loves him but he is quick to corner and blocks her way. He asks her if she is telling the truth. Her nose flares up in emotion and with all her strength she again utters the lie. When he asks her whether she was really speaking the truth she is unable to hold on to the lie and tries to escape again, begging him to leave her. He says that she can say whatever she wants but her face gives her away. When she lifts her eyes to look at him, he can see her love for him in her gaze. She can feel herself being drawn to his magnetism and she pushes him with such force that the act wakes her up from the dream. She looks around confused, her chest heaving visibly at the force of her enhanced heartbeat.
Her Maan, who witnessed all this from a distance, knew that she still loves him and cannot stop thinking of him. She admits openly that she cannot banish his thoughts from her mind. She gets up from the window and tries to go back into her room when she is hit by a bout of weakness and is about to faint, seeing which Maan screams out her name unmindful of where he was and jumps over the banister to get to his lady before she falls. He manages to reach her just in time and grips her tightly in his strong arms.
Now to the significance of the dream.
Even in her dream she heard Maan refer to her as 'her Maan'. This goes to show that she believed he will always remain her Maan for he loved her as much as she loved him. When she saw his vision, she did not look shocked but only mildly surprised. Maybe in her subconscious mind she always expected him to come for her, no matter where she was. So in the heart of hearts she always knew he will come after her. The expression on Maan's face as seen in her dream clearly conveyed his love for her. There was no sense of arrogance in his gaze as he stated the fact that she loved him. His eyes were soft and tender, reflecting his love for her, a love any woman would give her life for.
So why was she punishing both of them by staying away from him when she loves him and also knew he loves her? I think for her it was never about whether he loved her enough but whether he respected her enough. She wanted his love, which she knew she had but she also wanted his respect, which she did not know she had. That is why she thought Maan could have sent people to get her back. She couldn't imagine he himself will gain entry into the fortress for his damsel in distress, risking getting his bones broken if he is found out; willing to lower himself to win her back; Leaving behind his prided family name 'Khurana' and willingly adopt that of an ordinary sardar. In order to exalt her he is prepared to sacrifice both his name and fame.
Once she does know this, I hope she does not stick to her stubbornness and instead forgives her Maan for his momentary loss of his senses.
