| Dhanashri Kulkarni/Hill Road Media Television actor Amit Tandon who gained popularity through his first reality shows Indian Idol, later on did numerous serials Sony's Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai, Star One's Dil Mil Gayye, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Now he is gearing up to anchor UTV's Dadagiri- Season 4 ? Revenge of sexes. We spoke to Amit Tandon about his journey as anchor, about the show, family and more. | |||

How would you summarize your journey as anchor in Dadagiri Season 4? Journey so far in the show is being very interesting. All the contestants are superb in their acts. The one thing I really liked was that their fate is in my hands which they are unaware all throughout the show. Apart from this show, it was nice anchoring some specials this year like STAR Parivaar Awards. I have realised I love hosting. | |||

What do you like about Dadagiri? It's totally different from other reality shows. I would say this show requires guts to face every act in the show and when we have Vishal and Shourya who are dadas of the show. Dadagiri is only for people who are very strong -both physically and mentally, and the ones who are able to handle every hurdle in the show. After singing, acting and now anchoring, what are you most comfortable doing? I think I am an entertainer and I am comfortable in all roles. I love singing, acting, dancing and now even anchoring. I feel every actor must experiment in every aspect of their field. I am glad audiences love me in all my avatars. | |||

What's happening with your singing career? It's going on well. I am highly blessed to be taking my singing training under Mohd. Tahir, Sonu Nigam's guru. I have been religiously doing my riyaaz and now I am more confident of singing. I am even open to take up reality shows based on singing. | |||

Who, according to you, is the best anchor on TV? I feel there is no best anchor as anchoring comes naturally. On television I enjoy watching Manish Paul and Ayushman Khurana's anchoring skills as they fit into every concept marvelously and are naturally talented too. | |||

What kind of responses have you got from your fans? The responses have been positive. I was surprised to know that everyone enjoyed watching me host STAR Parivaar awards as the show aired two days ago. It's wonderful to know that the audiences haven't forgotten me and I am glad that people still love me. | |||

Has becoming a father changed your life? I feel completely blessed to be father. I feel lucky and proud to be the dad of nine month old Jiyana. At this early stage of her life, she is so expressive and I think she is showing signs of becoming an actress!! [laughs] Every married man should experience the bliss of becoming father. |
What would be your advice to would-be dads like you? Just I want to tell every would-be dad to not be scared about fatherhood as it is a golden phase of your life. Babies strengthen the relationship between husband and wife. Enjoy parenthood by not just playing with your baby but also helping your wife change diapers, feeding, burping and all the little little things for your baby. Just enjoy every moment. What's next after anchoring? It's too early to comment but the audiences might see me in yet another reality show. And this time as a contestant. Let's see. |
