I watched the show after ages today ........... and the way everyone rudely talked to ammu including a rather idiotic statement by jogi about why he was "giving the honour" of "his seva" to ammu, i can't help but think - what the hell is wrong with ichcha ?

....... Her mom is a servant who is routinely humiliated by pushkar/tapu/nani/mai and other random people. Ichcha is a well educated smart girl. Why the hell is she letting her ammu remain a servant ? Why did she never get a job (that paid not the samaj seva school) and helped her mom to live with dignity ........

I mean, here she is bahu of the richest family in town and her mom continues to cook, clean and dust. Does she ever even think about it ??????

have the CVs ever explained this ? Did i miss anything?

who said iccha is not a servant just because she is dressed in best saree and jwellary does not mean she has become rich.she is seen
washing clothes
cleaning something that falls on floor(recollect nani asking her to pick up)
buying fruits and veges(when vansh was alive)
moreover she is humiliated by mai.dadaji,nani,tapu
so how can she feel ashmed of her mother

@bips
When Ichcha is herself in such a pathetic position what support will she give Damini...
And also even if her situation improves and she wants to get her mum out, there will be those who will term her 'ehsaan faramosh'...

I get that ichcha is ill treated .......... but she is not a servant ....... and veer backs her 100% ........

Ammu is not figuratively but literally a servant .......... Logically, if someone was well educated and their parents were working like ammu then the first thing they would do is get a job and get their parents out of there

....... And my point was that ichcha has never even THOUGHT about giving ammu a better life .... she used to as a kid but what the hell happened .............. Its so freaking hilarious - ichcha is dripping in diamonds, traveling around in posh cars and ammu does not have a cent to her name ........

Why not ask veer for help ? Why not let ammu run her 'school' and get her a decent place to live ......... Why not transfer some money to her every month .......... or help her start some small home business ................ ammu might refuse help saying "beti ka sasural" and all that but does ichcha even TRY ?
