Gosh it was so hard to watch Geet leaving the house with tears rolling down her cheek and especially when she remembered entering it with Maan on her wedding day and remembered his words that he wanted her love and her in this lifetime and every lifetime......
And specially when dadima came running to stop her and says please stop for my sake and Annie too then more tears started falling from my eyes when Geet wiped their tears and said please do not ask me as you know I cannot do that. Tearfully and broken hearted as if the life went out of her she is walking out of her house, She knows that all love her dearly but the one she loves the most has said so cruel things to her that she is just too devastated. Annie tries to tell her that she will talk to Maan bhai but Geet says there is nothing to talk.
For Geet her world is Maan if Maan thinks that she is without self-respect then she has no self nor respect.... she has no life in her...... She feels she has lost everything in the world. This one is more painful to her then anything she has bore previously...... In all her pain her support and strength was Maan and Now Maan has separated himself leaving her all alone and she feels she has lost all.
All supported her...... all loved her...... all wanted her to stay but the one who mattered the most did not even come to see her. As he very well knew what effect his words has brought. He could hear the pain and see the anguish on her countenance and in her eyes and in that one word when she looked tearfully at him and said Maan...... That did quite him down but his anger was not receded he was as angry as before and he still had that shadow of doubt for her integrity and that was the killer thing for Geet.. Her Maan who is her life and her strength has just in a second separated himself from her and told her that she has no self respect...... and that was when she lost her whole world as she always thought that if Maan is with her then the world is at her feet.
Well Maan goes upstairs and sees everything empty of Geet's things and gets madder still blaming Dev for all these and explodes some more.
Here Dadima is totally devastated as she has always called Geet her daughter even during the time of wedding she treated Geet as her daughter and did all the customs for bride as her relative. She just could not see Geet leaving the house. She tries to stop her even giving oath on her own name but Geet just could not and even dadima understood her dignity but still she wanted her to stop as she knew that when her grandson gets angry he just losses the sense of decency. She wants to go to Maan and talk herself but she feels too dizzi stumbles on the sofa and all run to her.. Well Dev thinks now it is enough he needs to step up.. He instructs Arjun to take dadima inside while he decides to have a heart to heart talk with his elder brother the Maan Singh Khurana..
Oh boy!! What a confrontation it was......
Dev who had no capacity to even raise his eyes to his brother Maan...
Dev who had no capacity to raise his voice to his brother Maan
Dev who had no capacity to tell him what is right and what is wrong.
Dev who had no capacity to teach any principle of life to Maan
But Dev had capacity on his life experience to know what is the pain of loss
But Dev had capacity to realize what a person can loose if he cannot recognize true love
But Dev had capacity to see through the misunderstanding as he has been in the mess of his life.
So Dev Khurana who had no guts finds the guts......
So Dev Khurana who cannot lift his gaze and look in to his elder brohter's eyes now finds the courage to confront his brother.
So seeing Maan coming down the stairs he says very firmly..... Bro I want to talk with you. Maan is so furious by his audacity he just curls his fingers in to tight fist. Though Maan stops but his eyes are throwing fire.. Dev comes forward and sees the blood and says sarcastically.. very good bro Maan is standing in the same angry posture.... Dev tells him that he has not only injured himself but has injured his family too.. Maan looks at him furiously and keeps on staring at Dev.. Dev says why are you staring at me like that? You have the habit of taking some ones anger on others..... Maan says with a gnashing teeth Dev do not try my patient as I do not want to talk to you..... right away get out of this house or else.. Dev is now too bold he does not let Maan finish his sentence and says or else what???? what would you do bro.. both the brothers stare at each other as two opponent. Dev says or else what bro are you going to beat me up??? Then beat me up as it is your right, you are my elder brother. Maan still stares at him at his audacity. Dev now does not care if Maan just beats him up he says I will not go from here unless I have my say. Maan looks at his determination and just waits for him to say..... Dev says if I was not here and if I did not know the truth I would not have said anything but I am here and everything has happened before my eyes and I know what is the truth then I just cannot keep..... Maan stops his angry tirade with his words saying oh the truth and honesty like words do not suit on your tongue. I just do not want to talk with a man like you saying he starts to walk away. The taunt in his voice does not stop Dev he says you will have to talk to me and for that whatever punishment you want to give my I am ready to take but I cannot see my elder brother making such a big mistake. Maan stops. Dev comes to tell him... bro Geet loves you so much and you have neglected.. but before he could finish Maan says heatedly so now you will tell me what should I do.. but Dev does not step back from the path of this unleashed fury he says calmly yes I will tell you because in this family no one has any guts to come and tell you anything so it is my responsibility to tell you what is right and what is wrong.. Maan eyes are throwing draggers. His body is as if ready to pounce..... Dev almost shouts at him saying because I know that you have harbored so many misunderstanding in your heart. Both the brothers are pretty quite after that.....
Dev says softly.. It was her little desire that all misunderstanding may be dissolved and all the wrongs may be done right so that she can start her life a new with you and she wanted to say the same things to you. She was so happy but you gave her such a heartache that she felt compelled to leave the house. Maan is now totally stricken.. Dev says softly bro you also wanted the same thing that you can start a new life with her and you wanted to tell her the same thing but could not say it to her. Dev says tearfully that is why dadima and I thought that you both should meet at the farmhouse so that you two can talk to each other. Maan now looks at Dev his eyes are getting teary. Dev narrates all the incidents leading up to the declaration of Geet's forgiveness to Maan and specially tells him that Geet says that I do not know why babaji punished me by taking my baby away from me but I do not have any more strength to lose anything and that is why I want to forgive you. Maan then remembers what Geet was telling him in the balcony about reading his letters for new beginning and new life together and tears started rolling from his eyes..... Dev turns to him and says you have this problem that Geet forgave me..... but Her forgiveness to me was not her weakness but her strength. Her greatness..... her vastness and do you know why did she forgive me? Just because of you..... because of Khurana family and for that blood for which you insulted her. She forgave me so that she can start a new life with you. He was crying silent tears with his speech so was Maan. Dev concludes saying bro there is still a time please think about your mistakes or else there may be a time where you might have to regret your whole life. Saying Dev leaves Maan standing in the living room the words of Dev keeps echoing in his head about geet forgiving Dev for him. And the words of Dev about separating Geet from him means separating his good fortune from him keeps echoing in his head... He stands there alone in living room.... his eyes filling with tears and words of Dev keeps coming back to him... about his empty love less life without Geet....
Well I think after that volcanic explosion of Maan this was very much-needed episode to put Maan and Geet on the track of reconciliation.
I have to give it to Dev that he got so much courage to talk to Maan that way as Maan was like a wounded lion and would not have spare any one who ever came in his path. But some one had to make him understand the folly of his words...
Dev was able to tell that to Maan not because he has turn in to some kind of saint and authotiy to preach.. no but he was the person who had lost everything in the life and he just could not stand there and let his brother loss everything. Yes Dev has committed so many mistakes and sins and yes judicial crime but it does not mean that he cannot say what is right to his brother. It was his love for his brother and his wife Geet that he choose to under take his fury and insult from his brother but did not step back form the path of that wrath but told the hard truth to Maan about his attitude and his pride and his mistakes and his misunderstandings. He was not trying to preach but he was trying to tell his brother not to destroy his life and his love cause of miscommunication and mistakes and misunderstanding..
Samir and Gurmeet were just too excellent in that scene..
The whole team of Geet contributed well for this episode.. and last week the absence of Gurmeet was covered beautifully and now as he is back they have brought a good start with the track Geet going away and Maan now going after her to tell her how sorry he was to insult her and to think so low of her...
