Nupur eemed to be listening and thinking and she said, "pata nahi…shayad..ho sakta hai….but Thanks Mayank…mujhe tumse baat karke achcha laga…"
Mayank was a bit taken aback with the ease with which she said these lines to him….
He felt good helping her too but it was hard for him to express these thoughts so easily…all he could do is smile
It was after the dinner that Nupur went into the library in their room with an expression of a small kid who was recently informed of a sudden important test…
She stepped in and looking at the books and looking back at the door as if she could see Mayank standing as the teacher there…she looked back at the books and said, "Yeh Mayank bhi naa….kahaan mujhe apne gyan ke sagar mein dhakel diya hai…ab kya karoon…"
She kept her right forefinger in her mouth and furrowing her brows looked at books as though choosing a book out of the section Mayank had indicated was in itself a challenge, let alone readin it…
She took out several books and rejected some books because she disliked the titles of some books, the number of pages of some – when she turned at the last page to check the number of pages, and fonts of some books, since it appeared like being made for ants to read it….finally she found a book which was perfect for her to read…

She gave a short laugh while she said, "Arrey waah…yeh book perfect hai…naam bhi interesting ha…aur pages toh ByGod..logon ko 100 pages se jyada lambi kitaab toh likhni hi nahi chahiye…chalo ab kamse kam sadiyaan toh nahi bitengi isse padhne mein…aaj hi khatam kar loongi padh ke…aur uss Sadu ko bhi toh batana hai mujhe ki uski Kitaabe main bhi padh sakti hoon…ByGod, dosti kake yeh achchi musibat paal li hai maine"

Mayank came into the room at sleep time and not finding Nupur there he got a faint idea that she must be in the library….
He opened the door slightly and slowly…. Peeping in a bit…he smiled to see the sight he saw there…
Nupur had taken a pile of thick books and kept it on the table in such a way that she could adjust and rest her hands on the books…while she kept her elbows on the pile of books and her hands to support her head which seemingly threatened to fall in a sleep trip right away when she jerked again back to her senses….and what made Mayank smile the most was the fact that Nupur making a good use of his thick books to support her, had chosen the thinnest of all books to read..he shaked his head smiling at the ways and plays of Nupur's brain and went off to sleep…

Nupur had had enough of sitting and reading now….
She wondered how Mayank sat and read there the whole of the time, as Shilpa Sharma had once told her…
She took the book and checking out in the room to find Mayank fast asleep like an angel without any rudeness or stern expression…how she wished he knew its worth for himself…
She threw herself onto the sofa resting her head on the hand rest, she took to her traditional way of studying books…

It was late in the night that Mayank got up to find Nupur sleeping with her hand on the last page of the book while the book lay on her stomach and Nupur's other hand was trying hard to work as a pillow to her, though it seemed uncomfortable a position to Mayank…afterall she was trying to stuff herself in a 2 seater sofa….but a soft smile played on Nupur's face which Mayank recognized as her achievement for completing her book…
He appreciated her mentally for reading the book on his insistence….
Mayank smiled again seeing her like this, for she seemed like a small school going child to him…he otherwise despised childish behavior of people…….people not behaving their age and being foolish at times……but right now he seemed to have forgotten that fact….
He thought for almost 10 times before he kept the book on her stomach aside on the table….before he picked her up to place her on bed so that she sleeps well now…
When he picked her up…she was quite light in weight and he didn't feel much uncomfortable picking her up like this but once she starte adjusting herself…..keeping her hands where his heart was and resting her head on his shoulders…he felt like getting rid of the burning coal in his hands and placed her quickly on the bed without much time waste now…
He wondered if she would question him now as to why he picked her up…the next day……..
He placed her pillow in the middle of the bed as she did everyday from the day they had vowed to share their lives in every terms….
He then went ahead to sleep…
He slept facing at her side first..still a soft smile was glued o her face as if she was born with a never fading smile…he wondered how happiness came so naturally to her, always, as her immediate relative…though she seemed so angry in the evening…all seemed fine now…and she looked beautifully herself…
He turned to his side now to face the balcony and fell asleep…

Nupur woke up again to the reminder of Mayank's mobile, showing his present day's schedule…
She felt irritated by it for disturbing her sleep….she pulled the teddy to her ears, the one that was gifted to her by Mayank and she had placed it in between the pillows, and she pressed it on her ears with force trying to ward off the noise from reaching her ears… she then realized Mayank was still not putting the alarm off…she opened her eyes to put it off herself…
Mayank then came out of the washroom when he saw Nupur rubbing her eyes after putting off the reminder and complaining to him, "Mayank…tum Mobile ko apne side table par kyun nahi akhte..roz meri neend kharab ho jaati hai…ya tum apna military rule mujhpar bhi lagana chahte ho?"
Mayank looked at her guiltily and said, "Sorry….woh mujhe aadat hai…"
Nupur couldn't believe Mayank was saying sorry to her…but this explaination seemed enough for her to come out of her irritation somehow…
Then she realized that she was sleeping on bed, rather than sofa where she remembered to have slept last night…
She looked at Mayank with her jaws dropped a little and asked, "Mayank kal tumne mujhe yahan shift kiya…khud utha kar…ya phir mujhe neend mein chalne ki bimaari ho gayi hai?"
Mayank looked down suddenly not being able to confess a yes, as if he had made a mistake and was being asked an explaination for it…but he had to reply, "haan….woh…maine hi…actually who kya hua ki…"
Nupur cut him with a subtle smile on her face when she saw Mayank's behavior was as if he was guilty and was explaining it to her with his eyes down, she had seen a new facet to Mayank now…he never let out his caring nature out in open to all…and respected a girl too…and especially from yesterday, she was so much liking his behavior which was totally new and a contenting one to her eyes…
She had cut in to say, "that is so sweet Mayank..thanks"
Mayank looked at her, still trying to avoid reacting to her appreciation and wondered why didn't she feel awkward or angry…was she used to such kind of gestures too but he ignored thinking further in this direction…she was a puzzle to him always…though he was a puzzle to her even more…
He replied a plain, "its okay…" to her and left for his usual jogging leaving Nupur with an amused smile on her face for Mayank was, sort of, not being indifferent to her anymore and was reacting to her small things lately at his own accord…this surprised her since it was hard for her to figure out what had changed…but she was surely liking this change in Mayank, a lot….more than she could agree to…
