I personally didn't think the performance was a full 10 marks performance either. I think maybe 9 or 9.5. So I think the final scoring was pretty fair for Salman and Yaana. I think what was missing was that bittersweet emotion in the song. The song isn't just happy/smiley...there's also hints of sadness in there. That part wasn't portrayed by Salman and Yaana I felt. I guess Salman's interpretation of the song was mostly happy and positive which is a beautiful interpretation also. But in order to give the overall performance that kind of
depth, a bittersweet emotion was required.
This performance had the potential to really be one of the best in JDJ. But I also felt the missing link...and I think it was the emotion. Had that balance been there, this performance would've been simply amazing. That and maybe the minor coordination errors...but I guess that's understandable since the cables are pretty unpredictable.
Still an overall really beautiful performance to watch for sure.
