Karan loses TV show

Karan Singh Grover, better known as Dr Armaan, quit TV in mid-2009 to try his luck in Bollywood.

Actor-turned-producer Anuj Saxena had set the platform for his debut, but even before things could take off, the project was shelved and KSG had to head back to TV, again as Armaan in Dill Mill Gayye. The show ended last year-end and the actor was tipped to play the male lead in an upcoming show on a leading entertainment channel. But things didn't work out there.

"Karan was over-budget and also there were some date issues. Besides, Karan is known to be unpunctual. If the reporting time is 10 am, he wouldn't land before 2 pm," says a source. The telly show may not have happened, but Karan's prayers have been answered. He is doing a movie, likely to release later this year. The casting of the girl opposite him and other characters is on. Oh no!! I am so sad.

I know it is every teleactors dream to get launched in the films; KSG is also pursuing his dreams. I am not blaming him for that. But I seriously hope that he made a right choice by signing this movie and not the show. Sometimes many actors get lost somewhere on the road to bollywood, moreover an actor clicking in the movie industry is not easy. Big luck factor together with r8 connection makes it happen....I will pray for his success. This TV show and everything about it seemed perfect for KSG to make a name again on the telescreen.

What is this? Nissar has worked with KSG before; he very well knows KSG's working method, he would not have considered casting KSG if he didnot like him & his routine...this arriving late for shoot is all crap....KSG cannot do the show due to date problems.P

I would have loved to see KSG on a daily soap for selfish reasons as well....movies end in 2&1/2hrs and how many times can you watch the same movie?; but teleserial means we can watch him everyday for atleast 1-2yrs......Jokes apart somehow I felt the cast, production; channel and above all Nissar would have made another popular character like Armaan out of him

Hope to see him soon. I want to see him in the bigscreen as well as in small screen.

I hope that this paves a way for DMG3. Good luck for his film but the show sounded much more better. I dont have much hope for his film so I hope that he makes the write choices.

i fullly agree with u.. nissar would have made another popular character like armaan out of it karan please make a right choice think agin before leavinmg this show i know u hav efull capability of doing both movies and show .i was soo waiting for this show .but i will still wait for that
