Sony BMG...Fair?

Hello all,

Do you think Sony BMG have been fair to Prajakta Shukre & Aditi Paul? They both were given recording contracts, but have yet to be released. Do anyone of you think their albums will ever be released? As a matter of fact, Prajakta's album has been recorded ever since mid '05! And Aditi stated she had recorded some of her songs for her album as well. Earlier this year, Prajakta said that her album was to be released sometime in Jan, as SBMG was still unsure about the direction they want her to go[I believe it was either the "Tom Boy" or "Sweet Girl Next Door"] & Aditi said that its only after Prajakta, that her album can be released. So I just wanted some opinions...

I think both have got the raw end of the deal. Considering SBMG is one of the biggest record labels, they should have known better than delaying their albums. Now with II2, they have a new batch of contestants who will get more attention as well more time. Where does that leave our original diva's?

I also fear for Antara, she has been signed alright, but will she also be given the same treatment as Prajakta & Aditi?

I think ANTARA signed only for oen song with winner...not a solo album...as she mentioned yesterady she didnt plan yet to release solo album...

abt earlier winners I donno abt that...

Nope. Both Prajakta & Aditi have been put in the back ever since Fame Gurukul. The image excuse is so lame! How long does it take? Sony BMG is only concerned about Kailash Kher, that other chick with terrible songs & Mukul[Desperately trying to be a rapper] lol

I wonder why they signed them. They are least concerned about actually RELEASING anything, just keeping them on for the sake of it...

This came out in the NEWS PAPER!! HT CITY had done a special feature on them. Prajakta herself said that SBMG is just deciding on her "image" & Aditi said that SBMG only wants to do it rank wise...

I think some delays have come.........yep a bit unfair but then again...imagine!Such a big industry, many people must have been booked before them!

Probably, but also, Sony BMG doesnt have too many solo artists on their label. Also, they have to understand that neither Prajakta nor Aditi will sell as well as the others....Unless they heavily promote them..

i agree i saw one of prajakta's interview in MTV she said that her album will be released within september or november but it is still not released i think it will be released when indian idol 2 goes off air.
