Shewta Salve: I love Mithunda's dance style

Buzz up!

Television actress cum dancer Shewta Salve, has wowed us time and again with her histrionics and lithe feet. Currently, she is enjoying her anchoring stint in Zee TV's iconic dance reality show Dance India Dance Doubles. She loves dancing and being associated with this show is exciting for her. The dusky beauty talks about DIDD, her journey, favourite dancing talent and more.

As an anchor, how has the experience been on Dance India Dance Doubles?
It's been a joyride, an absolutely enriching experience with so many wonderful people to learn from. And as a lover of dance, I couldn't have asked for more. I have seen a lot of dancing talent in this show which really makes me happy and proud to be the part of this great show.

Who is your favorite dancing talent in the show?
Now, that wouldn't be fair to say! I don't want to discourage others by naming one couple! As for me, everyone's just perfect and truly hardworking because ultimately they are here because of their love of dance.

How is Jay Bhanushali as co-host?
Cute and funny. We all pull his leg all the time and he's such a sport about it! Jokes apart, he is really rocking the show. I haven't seen any of his performances as an actor, but he is a very good anchor, who knows how to mix work and fun in the correct manner.

Which performance did you enjoy the most on the show?
I loved so many of them. Amit and Falon were brilliant in Kaate nahin katte and Suraj hua maddham. Then Vivek and Prithvi's robotic laavni act was cool. Cornell and Sonali's Inn ankhon ki masti and Surya Sneha's dance to Hai rama were both fantastic. My list just goes on and on. My best wishes are with all of them, always. May the best dancer win.

Which is your favourite dancing form?
I think every dance form has something to show whether it's Bollywood or western. Being a dance lover, I love every dance form be it Salsa, Jazz or even traditional Indian dance forms.

Who is your dancing icon?
Hmm. That is very difficult to say but I I like Mithunda's and Madhuri Dixit's style.

What is more enjoyable- acting or anchoring?
I am a jack of all trades and have fun doing it all. But if you ask me, dancing is what takes the cake! Dance is in my blood but I also believe that one must experience everything in life.

You said you love Mithunda's dancing style. So, how was the experience of meeting him as he is a judge on the show?
Mithunda is a dancing legend. I look up to him as he is wonderfully humble and charming - even at his age. We all love him! He always compliments participants for their style and dancing, which makes them feel really special. He can also play a prank when in the mood, which is quite amazing.
